Why wouldn't you be able to at least get ED MSRP? Isnt that pretty much the most you could pay for a ED?
Can you?
I was assuming all the dealers are selling MSRP or no deal.
ED MSRP is lower than US invoice, why would they be selling at that price?

For US delivery your dealer buys the car at US invoice. For Euro delivery they buy at ED invoice. In both cases there is a similar price difference between invoice and MSRP.

So you're saying I can walk into a dealer right now and place an M5 order for ED invoice+$2000-incentives?
Will I be able to do that?

You may not be able to get that at any dealer, but from what I understand, if you shop around, and reach out to some of the dealers on the forum, you should be able to find a similar deal.

Yeah I assume the dealers will just laugh at my face if I ask them for this kind of deal.

I wasnt able to do that well - I got $2500 off ED MSRP and I was also pleasantly surprised with what they offered me on my trade. Walked out happy with my net out of pocket money.

How close was that to ED invoice?

Im not sure what ED invoice is - but for the car itself ex-options and taxes, looks like my deal is for $81,200. I think ED invoice might be around $77kish?

I did minimal options so they werent able to do the 7% off them also.

Yes, ED invoice is $76,965.

There is no ED pricing for the options. My dealer gave me an invoice+ deal and the calculation for the price I paid was built up using ED invoice plus the same invoice price for options as you find on Edmunds.com or other websites.

Not quite. The difference between invoice and MSRP is only about $7k, so more like $2,800 off MSRP.

I think he was comparing against US msrp and not ED msrp. Its more like 9k off US msrp with the ed discount. I believe before they came out of dealer allocations, people were getting close to 12k difference on an ED versus US delivery msrp.

Yep I was comparing it against US MSRP.
Although I got the same kind of discount off my 535i.
(58k MSRP, 9k off)
Kind of disappointing.

Thing for me was they offered me significantly more for my C63 than I anticipated. I made out better than I had planned on my net out of pocket money so I was happy with the deal. Had I not been trading in, I probably would have done the "thats not good enough, Im leaving" routine.

Rather than start a new thread, figure I'd just ask here since its an ED thread. Is there anything else on my part that I need to do after I place my order? I just want to make sure nothing falls through the cracks since my whole trip is planned already.

1.) Can someone confirm that I do not need to do anything special at this time to have my transport to the the shipping center in Europe. I was told that I could take care of that in Munich at Welt with my delivery specialist (im not driving it in Munich since Im only going there for delivery, spending rest of trip in Italy.)

2.) I read in one of my emails forwarded along by my dealer regarding passport info - did you guys have to submit passport information to your dealer here in the states?

Thx - and anything else you can think of would be appreciated

Nothing to do now. Your car will be prepped as if you were going to drive it away after taking delivery. When you check-in you will have the opportunity to arrange transportation if you do not want to drive it away after delivery. It's $60 Euro for a shipping company representative to drive it to the airport, $75 euro for them to send a flatbed truck to transport it to the airport.

The drive to the airport is only about 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic. You should also consider driving it to the airport yourself.

I recall providing my passport information. I think it's needed to prepare the necessary temporary registration and insurance.

Bring a camera for the delivery. Also, note they have food and beverages all day in the customer lounge, so you don't need to eat before heading to The Welt.

Thx AGS - definitely bringing the camera, will be getting a new lens prior to the trip as well. The wife and I are also doing a Dingolfing Plant tour but saw no cameras are allowed on that tour.

One other thing, try to go to The Welt well ahead of your delivery time. It's fun to walk around and see some of the cars they have on display, and watch some others taking delivery. You don't want to fell "rushed" through the experience, so leave enough time to take it all in - it's really a great experience. Most importatly ... have fun!
