I agree its just a great car. So much to offer for 65-70k.....

They actually did head to head c63 vs m4.....(most people go for c63)

I did a review on Panny Turbo, E63 and BMW M5....

I got ML350 and C63. I was about to lease m5 (done deal) and than I saw a new S550. Its something else.....

So now I am actually between S550, E250 BlueTech(I know but 44mpg its kinda cool), BMW M5 and MB CLS63 or 550 ( the 2015 one). Trade my C63 in.

Trade ML350 (2010) and get GL450......

I just love 2015 interior in Mercedes, super amazing.

The 2014 S Class is work of art. Those seats are simply amazing. Luxury is something Mercedes have on lock.

I'm a fan of Mercs as far as luxury cars go - I've had the opportunity to own a few (mostly AMGs).

BMW, however are the drivers car of choice. I can say that the F10 M5 is the closest BMW has gotten to being along side AMG cars in respect to luxury.

no not yet.

I am actually waiting for 2014 bmw with comp package to become available as cpo. So around May of 2015 they should be 70-80 k

I don't want to get 13 without comp package

Or I might get new 2015 c63 amg

Man I am really not sure that's why I asked people for an opinion lol

There were a lot of great reasons to buy a used m5, especially when it comes to a depreciating asset. The best cars are usually cars that are at least 2 years old and less than 20K miles.

However I think its a poor idea to buy a car that is less than 1 year. But I would consider the number of limited M5 built for the market. Usually they are not lease returns and I would wonder why the owner would give up car less than 1 year to eat all that depreciation. I was thinking those cars could have some kind of problem: lemon, buyback, loaner, etc.

Dumb question...if you buy 2013 m5 with less than 10k miles from a private seller or a non BMW dealership, the new car warranty is still valid right?

I thought I saw something about new car warranty is invalid unless bought from authorized BMW dealership, but not sure where I saw it.

I guess yes, it's still valid, but you can call your local BMW center and ask them.
what you saw was for 2015 or later vehicles sold or leased by an authorized BMW center on or after July 1, 2014.

So if I find in say a year or two a 2015 m6 used on a BMW dealers lot and within a few weeks my DCT blows up... Because the warranty isn't covered after July 1st, 2014 its now on me to fix it? Or does that coverage being lost just relate to service items like oil changes, etc.

No, the link that M6-coupe posted is referring to the maintenance, not warranty.

ok so I can still complain about rod bearings, amps going bad, etc. I just can't get free oil changes, brake pads, wipes and that kinda stuff.
