llwlf, do you have your bill of laden number from where you dropped it off in Germany with the shipping company? If so, you can get the same report I had direct from WW that will show if the car was discharged.

Now what????? At least until now we had a schedule to try to go by. I am picking mine up at the Performance Center and my SA said the PC will contact me to schedule delivery. Anyone know where or how to check on the car from cargo ship discharge to delivery????

See my post.... They are horrible. My car has been in Baltimore since Saturday. No change to status. BMWNA is useless and has no info available to where my car is, and my dealer the same.

yep, have that. Says that the car was "released to liner". it's just that nothing is showing in the BMW system yet.

Received word back from my CA that Brunswick is definitely backed up due to the redirects from the Northeast ports. Also looks like they have expanded working hours to help with the back log of cars.
AND, on a related note, I'm sure this didn't help get things through any quicker: http://www.maritime-executive.com/ar...runswick-ports I'm glad to hear there is effort from the do'ers to get caught up! Still looking forward to the car, and always pacing myself with patience. |

CA confirmed my work order was created (didn't ask specifically which day it had been created). Haven't heard anything after that since Monday - so probably typical pace as the rest of us. If I haven't heard anymore by next Monday I'll ping him again.

well... spoke to my CA yesterday because I still do not have my perf center date. And you know you guys getting yours is making me anxious to have mine!
He's looking into it trying to figure out what has happened. PC says that customs hasn't released it yet, so he is reaching out to the port to find out why not. efm9821 who was on a ship that arrived a day after mine, came through same port, and received his car the other day. lllwllf has his as noted above. jmh appears to have his as well. I would say it is JUST that there is a separate slow line for customs going to PC, BUT CA had another customer on the same boat that has had his Dec 4 pickup date for awhile from the PC (which means his car has cleared customs). Not expecting any answers on the forum, just sharing and mulling over the issue. Last edited by johntomferg; 11-21-2012 at 03:20 AM.. |

Hope everyone (in the US at least) is looking forward to a good Thanksgiving and lot's of turkey. If your outside the US, then you can have Turkey too if you like :-) as we all have lot's to be thankful for...
Yesterday's update was on the car was not a positive one. My CA was essentially told their was no way to speed up customs. I would paraphrase the portion of the exchange that I read as a "go away and leave us alone you'll get it when you get it." He's doing what he can, but it isn't clear if the people downstream are interested in providing any real qualifying information as to why the car isn't being processed at the same rate as others. Here's hoping for better information and progress through the weekend... For now I'll drown my problems in gravy and enjoy! :-) Onto the food... |

I guess my next option is to contact CBP at Brunswick since BMW cannot give me any qualifying information on the customs delay.
http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/toolbox/c...ts/ga/1701.xml I have the contact information above unless someone else thinks there is a better way(?). |
