You homies gotta join me over @ iRacing. It isn't all about F1, but it does have the Williams F1 car, and the racing is UNREAL. The tracks are all millimeter accurate laser scans of the real tracks. We have Spa, Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Suzuka is coming next month, plus tons more. The Williams F1 car was created in using CAD data directly from the Williams factory. The Simulator guys even come over to the forums @ iRacing to discuss the car. The Honda LMP car is coming next month, as is the Doran Ford GT. Right now you can race a Lotus 79, Star Mazda, Corvette C6R, Skip Barber, Riley DP just to name a few

iRacing Deals

I used to be WAY into GranTurismo & F1 on the PS3, then I got iRacing. The PS3 never goes on anymore.

Here's a lil' teaser to whet your appetite:

I use my MacbookPro to play iRacing. You just have to use bootcamp. It's worth looking around for copies of Win 7.

yea, i used to run bootcamp but I made the decision to only game on the PS3 so I could finally get rid of that Windows partition, I did it mostly for HDD space since I was also on a MBP but the HDD was only 160gig, now I have an iMac w/ 2TB

I might look into it some more, specially if my G27 works on that game

Your G27 will work VERY well ... you can map those 6 buttons to various F1 car functions, like diff, and brakes. With a 27" iMac you'll be running GREAT with iRacing. Come on dude, do it!! Same with the rest of yas too

If you want to start small, it's like $10 for a 1month membership, and $12 for the F1 car. total cost to try out the F1 car is $22, or so.

Probably is to look for a straight that leads to a sharper turn. Thus the overtaking car will need to brake harder for the turn into Luffield.

For example, the one reason Spain GP DRS wasn't that effective was because Turn 1 is a 3rd gear corner, and Stowe at Silverstone is a 4th gear corner. Drivers can is a bit easier to defend compare to a second gear corner where they need to stomp on the brakes and dive into the corner.

Just my 2 cents...correct me if i'm wrong.

Very excited for this after that snore fest of a race at Valencia.

Should be interesting to see how the new ban on off-throttle exhaust blowing affects the teams.

I was thinking that too, but if you watch the onboard video, that corner going into Luffield is actually pretty quick - as quick as going into the 1st corner at Spain. What MIGHT help is that the DRS zone is right after a heavy-breaking zone.
