^^ Yeah I just saw that and edited my post. Taxes out the ass man. 33% income tax, then an additional 8.875% sales tax on the money I'm already paying taxes on.

Edit - Just saw NJ.

So I'm at $945; an $12/month discrepancy that I'm trying to figure out currently.
So based on those inputs, I calc:
Monthly: $855.54
Tax: $75.93
Total (monthly + tax): $931.46 / month which is very close to what you have of $933.xx?

Your IRR on this investment (value of lower monthly payments) is about 1.2% on a time value basis. Happy to send you my excel.
Sorry, you got something wrong. If u put $6300 in the bank and get $80/mo for 36 months that's $2880 on a $6300 investment in 3 years.

ROI = Net Profit / Net Investment x 100

$960/$6300x100= 15.2%

Now I understand that there's is a loss on value of your money some where in the neighborhood of 2-3% annually. Still , show me where u can get a no risk ROI like this.

You're right. It's 15.25% IRR and same for ROI. Drinking and excel'ing not a good idea. Good catch

It's good if you have the cash laying around and if you're the type of person that can commit to a 3 year lease.
It's horrible if you need to get out of a lease early.

I see a bunch of people trying to get out of a lease with MSD in place and asking to recoup 100% of this money. One guy on this forum has a great monthly ~$900 for an M5 but is asking for $6k in MSD's. The car isn't budging - that's the problem.

Again, great investment if you can commit to a 3yr lease.

I can't commit.

Since you are helping people in this forum (which is appreciated) it would be a good idea if moderators dedicate a special section for you to post monthly numbers of all M cars (M3/M4/M5/M6/X5M/X6M,...)

I agree, this should be a sticky. GOLFFRR has queitly helped this forum tremendously here and other threads. Never a controversial post either! That's worth something, lol. Even though I don't live in SoCal, he gave info that helped me to negotiate my car from this thread.
