No luggage, just me and the passenger....

In this picture its because I am going about 48 MPH on a 30 degree banked curve

I also think the CP wheels and silverstone color give a bit of a illusion of the car sitting a bit lower.

I will never be able to run this car to it's max. But I still want one.
You are not picking a fight just expressing what you believe , if I lived in a country that I could fully use this car I just May have been tempted by CP.
PS) the exhaust did not sound that much different to me.
Agreed M5 is overkill in the UK, I'd go further and say even 550i / 535d are excessive, but it's still good to have plenty in reserve

CP is firmer than non CP; if that's not the experience you are after non-CP is still a very special car.

I drove the pre lci m5 fairly hard (I don't believe the non-CP lci sounds any different) and now that I've stopped babying the CP, exhaust is definitely louder IMO. Have not used full throttle yet, however, goes from quiet to almost thunderous under load.

so i find it very stupid move from bmw
Wasn't there another thread on here, saying that the 343 weren't forged either?

Or was that just b*******

according to BMW both the launch of the he car and the brochures they are forged. weight would suggest it also.

So you saying the 343's and 601's are both forged?? Is there no official word from bmw?

Best current info is that the 601M's are around 5 lb heavier at each corner than the 343M in the M5 application.

There is no confirmed info beyond that, though most take this to mean that the 343M is forged, and the 601M is not.

At the end of the day, You're not going to notice 5lb regardless unless you are actually tracking the car, and even then I question whether you could.

HOWEVER - I agree it is odd and backwards that BMW would deliver a heavier wheel with an inferior manufacturing tech with their "Competition Pak".

i meant the 343s

601s i doubt it owing to the weight of them.
