Silverstone F10 M5 w/ Eisenmann Sport Exhaust (Photos & Video)

We had the opportunity to install an Eisenmann Sport Exhaust on Niko1414's Silverstone F10 on Friday. Having only installed Race systems before we were curious to hear what the Sport system would sound like; we were very impressed! Featuring the larger 102mm tips, this exhaust fills out the rear of the car much better than the stock exhaust. Take a minute to view the video and photos below so you can marvel at the beauty of this exhaust system. Enjoy!

Very sweet - I am very interested in this setup. 102s are big! I am wondering if there is any drone at all during the rpm range? How much louder is this in and outside the cabin, percentages? Thanks so much..

Eisenmann tech info suggests:

As a rough guide, decibel levels as compared to the original factory exhaust sound is as follows: Sport exhaust: + 3db, Race exhaust: + 10db

SPORT (quieter) - Deep Sporty Sound
RACE (louder) - More Aggressive Race Sound (not too loud for daily driving)

Why does this exhaust have the vacuum valve but the race set up for the 550i does not?

That is very appealing - what's the cost of this setup?

I have not seen anyone has this yet. Actually, I am planning, along with another blogger here (out in the Oakville/Burlington) may do the Eisenmann next spring on this 'Sport' slip on version. However, I am still deciding as to Eisenmann or 3D Design one.

As I had mentioned to you earlier in another post, Kevin (Markham) is the only one that had the 'Race' version and even he said it was a bit loud for him, esp. during cold start. Anyway, he went on to the Akra full setup since.

Having had this a week now, to what extent are you finding a richer aural experience from the drivers seat?

I'm wondering if it the 10% sound increase inside the cabin is enough to make it sound noticeably more sporty in day to day driving. I'm hoping this will provide a 650 M-Sport Coupe like driving experience where you hear the exhaust every time you accelerate.

Much better than stock. And yes you can definitely hear it on acceleration.

Even when pulling away from traffic light, or only under WOT like stock exhaust?

Do you wish it was louder or is it just right?

For me it just right and yes even under regular acceleration from a stop light it sounds louder.

I guess it could depend it you get the mufflers only vs full exhaust.
I just got the race mufflers with 90mm and think the sound db's are perfect. It is louder when cold just like the stock exhaust for 30 seconds or so but I love the look and sound so far.
Lucky we all don't like the same thing, life would be pretty boring ;-)

Niko1414

There is a discussion about whether these exhausts preserve the fart sound on another thread.
http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthr...0#post13195760

BarryB says the Eisenmann Race axleback preserves the fart sound. Is the same true of the Eisenmann Sport axle back?
