Question jb stage 1 gains?

1) i want to know how does the car behaves with jb stage tune for m5?

2) are there any drive issues?

3) any cel?

4) abrupt throttle changes?

5) with stock 4 psi boost increase bms has posted dyno numbers with about 70whp increase while they advertise only 30-50whp, don't understand this?

6) considering stock 0 to 60 time is 3.7 and 1/4 11.8-11.9 sec what should i expect in terms of improvement with jb stage 1 at 4 psi?

This is a statement not a question....

2) are there any drive issues?

My experience is it makes the turbo lag more pronounced, as it hits in a very abrupt manner. Only under 70%- Full Throttle situations. Some may see it as a bad thing, I actually like it.

One Negative is you peak out on max torque quite a bit before the redline. This doesn't feel right, and I am sure why most will recommend a flash over a piggyback.

3) any cel?

nope

4) abrupt throttle changes?

explained above...

I think maxed out settings people are getting 50-70 WHP depending on supporting mods.

I have a 6 sp manual "No Launch Control " and I pulled in 11.6 as my best time so far.

Thats with BMS Stage 1 +4 setting. BMS Intake and Dinan exhaust.

What was your 60' time and trap speed with that 11.6x?

My bad I should of kept and scanned my slip, was actually my first time at the drag strip here in Edmonton Ab.

I believe the exact numbers where:

I was 11.68 to be exact.

2 second 60 ft Trapped 128

Was my best run by far of the day... Other runs where 11.7 -12.0

Thats the problem with Manual cars... driver mod will have the biggest impact by far lolz.

Just BMS Intake, DInan Exhaust, and BMS Stage 1. I was running a E85 & 94 octane mix, which I felt had a huge effect on my performance.

Enough to convince me to order a drum of E85 to be used on the days where I am feeling like some extra boost

Thanks man I was pleased .

No down pipes just a transmission that requires you to be a real man to use .

Haha it's not often I get to throw in Jabs regarding using an auto transmission often .

I'm not crazy about e85, no one can really tell me what the long term effects of running this fuel are..I normally run 0.5 gal per 5 gal 93 and there is definitely a positive difference but I'm just not 100% sure on long term effects..
100 Octane on the other hand.. I'm loving this stuff. Can get it at the pump just north of me in Dallas and it's the real deal IMO.. Great power!
