Don't know - will find out. So far rods were the weak link at 1000hp so 1500hp isn't out of the question. Definitely 1000hp will be reliable.

Awesome build! Reminds me of the E39 M5 Redheads build

I am surprised there is no Dinan bashing on this thread.
Glad to see he is doing projects like this still. Would love to know the cost of things when they are done.

Dinan is VERY good at a lot of things... Piggyback may not have been his best project for the S63tu, though.

Thx. Watching closely to see how this unfolds. The one thing I know for certain... Steve wont be tuning for anyone here looking to make big power.

He is only doing the motor - I will take care of everything else... turbos, fueling, cooling, tuning etc.

What turbos are you thinking of using?

Very interesting, can you name some names who to look out for?

There are several folks developing these. I can't mention specifics but more details will be out soon. Some use stock manifolds and downpipes while others require custom everything.

Did Carrillo do the pistons also? I know very little about turbo motors, but I imagine porting is more to allow maximum volume to be pushed into the cylinder, not shaped to promote airflow as for a naturally aspirated motor?

Any developments for the differential bracing?

Exciting to see this coming along so well! Keep up the posts!

Yes - porting is subtle as bigger is not always better. The OEM heads won't flow much more than 1000hp. On NA cars porting is more sensitive but on any car it's easy to screw things up.

The pistons and rods are Dinan-Spec but made by CP-Carillo

Other tid-bits like camshafts etc. are all ready for install

Motor is balanced and blue-printed. I am waiting on the report for all bearing clearances, piston-wall clearances and balance results. The rotating assembly is slightly lighter than OEM, but not significantly so since it is intended to withstand a lot more boost. This is a lower-compression build to support 30-40psi boost.
Ram - are you using stock camshafts?

We are approaching 3 months... Is that usually how long it takes to get a built, working motor? Or is it longer?

If all the parts are ready it's only a few weeks. I had a few items custom made to my specs.

I'm ready to go to the next level with mine when Allmotorsports, Inc. opens for business! You seem to have the secret sauce.
