I had the pleasure of replacing the following this weekend;

Fuel rails
Injectors
Coil Packs
Plugs

On the plus side I saved a ton of cash doing the work myself based on the indy quote I got, which will translate into and fun mods/upgrades.

Next up is headlight replacement. Picked up some led headlights to use while I decide how to fix my OEM units that both have a large amount of condensation.

So long as there is no standing water in the headlamps then you're okay. Removing the top round plugs on the lamps for a short time while parked will get rid of the fogginess.

Looking good, guessing the MAF's hooked up fine on the gammas, how does it run with them on.
Glad to see a 'BMW Castrol' only oil cap on the US car.

Haha that thing has been on since I got the car in 2019, but it runs awesome. It isn’t as sluggish with turbo lag from a stand still even just regular driving you notice it’s more responsive and the turbos sound amazing, almost sounds like a 2JZ out here 🤣🤣

At a guess I'd say around 720 hp then, have you wider rear tyres to cope with the extra grunt like 305 or 315's..I have 305's on my stock one.

I’m actually running 295/35/20 I can’t go wider cause I wanted the taller side wall, I have run 305’s before but have to run that 30 side wall.

My gauges say 22-24 psi so I’d guess 680-720 whp I haven’t done clutches or motor work except proper maintenance.

Personally I want 1000whp so I’m looking to go 19” rims in the back to run something like 305/40/19 Nitto Nt05’s. Even right now these would serve me a great purpose. But a little over the top as I’m still not sliding a shit ton in 2nd gear pulls and none in 3rd.

All this is on 93 oct so that could change with a E30-E50 mix. Still wanna redo some logs now that I have the intakes on.

These logs where the other week on stock intakes

Thanks for the tip, though I wish this worked. The drivers side housing must have a leak as when it rains I get moisture inside the housing. And now that temps have dipped the moisture is freezing inside causing poor lighting conditions in the early mornings.

Hoping I can rebuild them nicely though.

Re-sealing should do the trick.

Sadly, traded it for something abit more sensible for a daily driver, amazing capable car but needed to go.

I’ll be over in the G05 X5 forum
