F11 M5 touring is coming soon!

Why wouldn't I want this to come out? I don't work for BMW in any capacity. And you don't have to take my doubt so personally.

I'd love for me to be wrong so we can have an F11 M5 touring.

That is great news!

I've always wondered about this, what are the real reasons why BMW doesn't offer the M3 and (sometimes) M5 as touring versions? It can't be about R&D costs, can't imagine it would be that difficult to add a Touring body over a normal M3/5 base car?
I know it wouldn't be as easy as just putting some stiffer springs in the back for the added weight and call it a day. But the X5M and X6M are basically the same car with different designs. Just as the sedan/touring would be with the M3/M5.

And it can't be about dilluting the M-brand, becuase then they wouldn't have created the X5M, and certainly not the X6M.. And definately not the M550 versions...

Does anyone know?

Talked to my dealer again, and now he´s saying it all was some kind of mistake. So I guess we won´t see a M5 Touring (or it´s delayed). There goes my credibility... sorry.
