Llumar Avantguarde Window Film

Do any of our warmer climate members here have any experience with this make and range of films? The are the ‘ceramic’ range and more focused on in-car heat reduction.

My car currently doesn’t have any tinting of any sort and so the car interior cooks when the sun is strong, and will be even worse when we’re down in the south of France.

So just wondering how people got on with it as I’m lined up to fit it at the end of next week.

Thanks in advance.

Tint only helps with somewhat not feeling the heat through the windows. If the car is sitting out in the sun for prolonged periods of time, the body panels heat up (roof, doors etc) and radiate heat inside. No tint is going to help with that, it's still going to feel like a furnace inside.

Living in Texas I can attest that ceramic tint makes a huge difference.....sure it's not ac but it makes a noticeable difference while driving and using a good sunshade in the front along with it will make a difference on how effective your AC cools the car down after it's been sitting. Don't know that brand of film but ceramic is good.

I've not seen Llumar Avantguarde available here but I've had Llumar Pinnacle FormulaOne ceramic on 2 prior cars, including an M5, and the ceramic makes a world of difference compared to standard dye-only film regarding heat reduction. Ceramic can cost 2x of standard film but well worth the upcharge.

My current M5 has Prestige Spectra Photosync tint, which is advertised as an even higher degree of heat reduction compared to Llumar ceramic - I've only had it for a week so I can't comment on full mid-summer performance, but so far its felt better than the Llumar.

I have it on all my cars, now I have 2-5% tint so mine are not legal, but it works amazing, I also did the sunroof, to help with sagging of the sunroof slide over time.
