Windshield Question

Hi Guys,

Windshield cracked on my M5, insurance only covering OE replacement i asked them for OEM they said i need to pay the difference, but they have told me its a same manufacture for aftermarket one and OEM, it?s just does not have bmw stamp on it, anyone here got non OEM windshield? Is there any quality difference or the way it reflects head up display?

I would pay the difference for the actual BMW one if your car has HUD. Then you know you won't have any problem with the HUD.

FYI: Mine cracked on my E60 M5 and Geico replaced it with OEM BMW glass with no charge to me. I'm in Florida. I think it was about $1000 for the glass. Might be more now.
