Is Launch control useless?

Like the title states do you believe launch control is useless for the launch do you prefer do just hammer it down? I used launch control about 3/4 times and it seems to just burnout like crazy opinions and thoughts?

I was stock and at the track with prep and it was pointless to me, it would just spin alot most of the time.

m5 is too heavy to "launch" never understood the point of it.

you'd probably be better off with an R tire and a properly modulated throttle to drag.

Worked for me the few times I used it. maybe your RPMs are too high

I remember my E60 M5. I was in a stop light and pressed on the gas and car wont move, tires just kept on spinning. Crazy time.

You can launch an M5..just be prepared when something breaks after :-)

Have 2.5s 0-60 times to prove it along with broken driveshafts, DCT and diff mounts

Yeah I fear excessive damage to the car with launch control hence why I don't ever use it lol
