Front Passenger Footwell Power Outlet

Don't know if it's common but I just found out that M5 got a 12v power outlet down in the passenger footwell, though somehow mine is not working. anyone got it ?

You likely have a blown fuse. In the trunk on the rear right side there is a fuse panel behind an access door. At the very bottom of the fuse panel there is a white pice of folded paper. This paper has the fuse diagrams for the trunk and the glove box fuse boxes. The cigarette lighter fuse is likely in the glove box. There is an access door in the glove box to access the fuses. The fuse diagram will show the fuse location and amperage. Any auto parts store will have the fuse you need. No need to go to BMW. It is a bit difficult to reach back into the glove box fuse box, but with a pair of needle nose pliers it is doable. Good luck with your fix.

That panel gets removed to replace the cabin filters. Most unplug the outlet from the back. Bet they forgot to connect when reassembling...

And i'll point out that it is a switched outlet. That is to say it turns off 3 minutes after doors are locked so it should work for accessories such as LEDs etc

Just disconnect that little connector on the toe kick panel, needs to be removed to get to the back breaking little screws to get to the twin micro filters. Changed mine out when they stank of bad mustard.
