Shout out to V12
Just wanted to give a quick shout out to V12 (Rich) for coding my car remotely from Europe! After seeing the work he did for Poleposition at Bimmerfest, I couldn't wait to have the coding done. He is expedient, thorough, and a delight with which to talk.
I love the new functionality of the car...everything from remote closing the trunk to having the windows and sunroof close while folding the mirrors with key fob or comfort access. We stayed on the phone for about 1.5 hrs as he explained everything he was coding, the benefits of the specific coding, and what to expect from the car as the codes were uploading. Afterward, he spent 10 minutes making sure each function worked flawlessly and with no errors. If you've not done any coding and are considering, please give him a shout. You'll be glad you did! t |

Agreed! I've been emailing with Rich for the past 4 months...ever since I reached out to him asking about his service. He's great. He doesn't just answer the question... he answers my question(s)...but then offers up other ideas, info, etc...
He even drops a note from time to time to check in. I'll be happy to work with him when I FINALLY get my car back from ED. Should be soon (fingers crossed).

Agreed! He's terrific.
Rich spent a bunch of time with me (from Paris, as he's traveling!), coding to my specs. He reviewed my list with me in detail. He also brought to bear his deep experience, making recommendations for changes that I wouldn't have thought about. As well, he helped me understand ramifications that have been dissatisfiers for his prior clients such as messing with the rear cameras then requiring you to shut them off manually each time. When he reset modules, he told me exactly what the car would do, and exactly what error messages would come up -- IN ADVANCE -- to avoid any concerns. When it was time to remove the OBD cable, he warned me that it might be challenging, and made some suggestions on how to make it easier. The entire experience was a pleasure. It's now much more "my" car. Oh, and the new features are cool, too.
