Need advice on a M6 E63

I am currently in Seattle Area. I am looking to buy a 07 M6 V10 which has 80K miles on it. For now I own a 2012 F30 335i with a extended warranty to 70K miles. I know 335i is not a slow car, but I certainly appreciate that V10 Engine on the M6. My biggest concern is the reliability of the M6 V10, which I know isn't really well. But that car has a clean title and many service record on the carfex. And the dealer which sells it is a european only used car dealer with a good reputation. Could someone help me look up the carfex and see if the car may have big problem to repair in the future? Thank you very much.

Hello;
just sold my 2010 M6 last August and the car was perfect-very few issues whatsoever. However, I would say in the case of a well-serviced car such as you are contemplating, the first thing that comes to mind is "have the rod bearings been replaced?". You will want to invest in that servicing if they have not. its a $2,000 service but failure to do so could trash the engine because its a chronic weak point in the high revving V-10.
You might want to check out the M5/M6 forum for other areas of concern.Its a goldmine of information and can provide substantial guidance on the little things that will pop up from time to time with a car with 80,000 miles on it. Sensors going off and how to read codes, etc. Good luck-I miss mine.
