Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax
Nothing to do with Meguiars but just wanted to let you guys and gals know about this new product (I assume its new as I've never seen it previously). At £29.00 including applicator and polish cloth its not cheap but the product goes on easily and comes off even easier, leaving behind the best shine I've ever seen.
I like polishing cars (at least when they're new and shiny), which is just as well given that I bought a Sapphire Black car. It looks absolutely incredible as you're cleaning it but shows every spec of dust and dirt like no other colour I've ever owned. Ultimate Liquid Wax is a pure synthetic polymer that leaves behind no white residue on rubber, vinyl etc. This in itself is a huge advantage as you're not left with white sunroof surrounds, window rubber seals etc. But most remarkable is the deep, lustrous shine it creates. I've used a variety of different polishes and waxes that promised a lot. This is probably the first since original Autoglym that has actually delivered anything out of the ordinary. |

Thanks dude. Since it is synthetic, I'll have to give it a try on my vinyl. I've been using Optimums No Rise Wash and Wax for a little while now. Fantastic product. Plus I use less than 5 gallons of water to clean my whole car.

It came out around 2011. Works very nicely, though I have found over the years the paste version is nicer/easier to work with than the liquid version

I use this on my singapore grey. It does an ok job - shiny, easy to apply/remove. However, I wouldn't recommend it for dark colors. The depth of shine is not really that good. I'm back to a wax

I have it and I like it's results. It's a little more work than their spray on wax but I think it does better. I use the quick detail, that is a very good product.

Swirls
Depending how bad and how deep it can temporarily disguise swirls but you'd need some sort of cutting polish and mechanical assistance to permanently get rid of the fine scratches

A wax cannot get rid of swirls, it can only mask them for a short while if they are light.
Swirls are scratches in the clear coat and need to be polished out using a automotive polish ideally with a mechanical polishing machine. Waxes will just fill in the swirl slightly and then wear away revealing the swirl again.
