Delivery Checklist

Picking up the new ride in a week. Have truly enjoyed and valued all of your opinions (stealth.pilot - especially you!).

Could you peeps give some advice as to what to look for on deliivery day (checklist) before signing off.

Look at paint inside and outside in daylight after they clean it. Looks for any changes in finish, scratches etc... Look for haziness in the paint as well. Have the list of opens you ordered with you when you go to the dealer and check each one off. Test Drive the car for rattles and make sure it all feels solid/new. Ask for verification that there was Jo prior damage or,paint repairs.

Check body panel alignments.

Check wheels for damage, check all the trim, inc. lights, check for exhaust tips for alignment (my 535d had one of it's exhausts tips pushed in and the surrounding plastic trim was unclipped) check around the towing hook covers (mine has the paint chipped there - spotted by my detailer & personally didn't bother me as it'll get stone chipped anyway as I don't have clear bra).

Obviously do the test drive & check the functionality of the car (as much as you can at least).

Check all your paperwork is in order (what you need to take to the dealership & what you should receive).

If you are really pedantic, take a paint depth gauge as you'll be surprised how many cars get small areas repaired & painted prior to delivery.

Oh, and one last thing, check for random screws in your taillights: -
