Discounts on new 2016 M5?

Just wanted to see what sort of a discount I should be able to get on a new M5 given that it is December. I am aware there are $2k in incentives from BMW, but what percentage off MSRP would be considered a great deal this time of year? 6%? 7%? More? The two closest dealers to me each have three M5's in stock. What should I aim for? Thanks!

I think if can get anywhere near Invoice that is a decent deal, which is 7% off MSRP. Given that it is December, that should be easier to get. If you want until the last week of December, dealers will practically be kissing your butt. Lol!

Generally agreed. Although I have seen certain dealers won't budge at all. For example, The BMW dealership near my parent's house in South Jersey scoffed at me when I asked about the discount off MSRP for M5. They said they might offer $1k - 2k off around year end off MSRP but in M cars they don't negotiate! I obviously worked with another dealer to get my car.

So shop around and check and hopefully you are doing Balle Balle on the way out!

What do you guys think of this deal: 2014 M5, alpine white, full leather, carbon fiber trim from factory, competition package, executive package, driver assistance plus, B&O, night vision, 343M wheels, clear bra on full front, 13k miles. $76k private party. Does it seem about right or should the price be a bit better?

Tell them cash in hand 74. See what they say lol its not bad its not great, I'd rather have that car though then eat 30k on a 16'.

The way BMW operates now with incentives and practically giving cars away, the status and resale that was associated with "new" M pre-2010 is LONG, LONG, gone lmao... Expect this gen of "new" 2016 M fully loaded to sell for mid 80s for the first 1-7k miles, then drop into the 70s and if you hit more than 25k miles and keep it over 1 year I'd say high 60s lol

The DCT/S63tu is not like the SMG/V10 days where reliability was questionable in the used game... After owning one I wouldn't blink to buy one with 30,40,70k miles let alone 13k with what I've seen reliability wise.

If it's out of warranty, I'd get an aftermarket extended warranty so cover the random issues that'll pop up(which will add up $$$$).

Why not try Steve Thomas BMW or a Bimmerfest sponsor? My personal two favorites are Adrian Avila at BMW of South Atlanta and Greg Poland at Pacific BMW in Glendale, California. I am sure both of them will give you a smoking deal if you take an in-stock unit by Jan 4th.

I paid $350 over invoice plus the the 1k BMW incentive - so $650 under invoice. This is on a 2016 individual car.

Dealers...

I was in the market last month for a 2016 M5 which I leased at invoice. While I was shopping I called a dealer who told me 'they don't negotiate on M cars' I said ok that was that.

Skip forward to yesterday and I get an email from him 'hey, are you still in the market for a M5?' I told him I already took delivery but asked if he still had the M5 on his lot that I had inquired about. He said he did...I told him he could have got rid of it three weeks ago. No reply...LOL.

I would expect invoice plus incentives. About 8-9k off a moderately equipped m5. Even better, I would wait until summer or fall and see if BMW does good incentives on them since this is the last year of the F10 m5.
