The M5's are quick from a roll
GTRs are like 335i's with N54, bolt ons meaning is wildly different.

Alpha signifies they bought a package from AMS, its like how you could buy a dinan package for the M5 and be slower then some guy with an MSR intake, tune, and Meth.

While i loved my M5 and was very good from a roll on perfect surface, i am man enough to admit the GTR is the better performance car, even an older cba gtr will beat an f10 m5 around the track. A DBA GTR is on another level:

The big difference over a 335 is that a GTR has DCT being the biggest factor. I wouldn't say its like it as its far from it with all the additional stuff it has over a 335.

All alpha means is u put a decal or emblem on your car u could have absolutely no AMS/alpha parts on your car seen that way too many times. U get the medal emblem if u purchased a turbo kit from them. Also, AMS/alpha performance is not warrantied by Nissan until like Dinan which is by bmw.

he wasn't comparing the cars mechanically, he was saying the phrase "bolt on" means many different things to many different people on these 2 platforms

Not even, the 335is was optioned with a DCT.

There is no comparison. 335 competes with a4/s4 and c400/450/43....

Gtr competes with 911S/Turbo

It had nothing to do what class they compete in stock or modded.

It has to do with the loosely and frivolous use of the word FBO E85...

There are FBO cars that can destroy 9.7-9.9 cars at the stripped if turned up high enough. And then you have FBO cars with baby fuel injector upgrades that can barely run E85, and are terribly tuned... My point was more largely that saying an Alpha 6,7,etc. until you start getting into the 10s and 12s really doesn't mean anything.

The same way kids with a dinan tune and front mount and intake can say "FBO" meanwhile a kid with JB4, Meth, E85 and 200 dollar eBay downpipes will light up that other "FBO" car lol.

I'm just saying identifying a car without knowing mods/ tuners for the GTR is as silly as it is for the N54.

The GTR is the most wicked badass car ever produced. It can outrun any car from any speed. I even put GTR badges on my M5 for an added 166rwhp. No vehicle on Earth this side of military jet fighters can touch it.Nissan even pays for thearapy sessions if you make the mistake I did by selling mine. Learn it. Know it. Live it. GTR

This.

If you wanna deadhook in 30 degrees with no burnout, run within tenths of your 1/4 pass on the street, all while having stock like reliability. Then this is the car for you.

If you wanna dip copenhagen, be the winner of the most bad ass car at the monster truck rally, get late night texts from your cousin, or be super street outlaw big tire all motor god. Then it probably isn't the car for you and you should buy an M4... Or American.

Yes, and that is what im saying. He was saying the advantage the gtr had over the 335 was that it had a dct. It was not an advantage because it was not true, 335is did have a dct option. Anyways, gtr is an another playing field, 335 does not even come close....

The GTR is so badass it doesn't even need a transmission. Fastest car on Earth. Period.

My GTR probably ran a flat 6 or better, but there isn't any instrumentation made that can accurately report the sheer velocity.
