Well Crevier is listed at #1, so you know that the entire list is BS.

Are the members of the list the ones that generate the most profits or the ones that have the happiest customers? I suspect it's the former which can be achieved without necessarily being what a consumer would most value in a dealership. Although the winning dealers must surely do enough to keep customers happy, or at least coming back, in order to actually sell vehicles.

It's based on sales & service reviews and parts purchases. Tiny dealers can achieve the award as well in the "small store" category.

We were scored in the XL category, which is the largest.

They thought BMW performance didnt make mufflers for my 335.......

Last May they wanted to sell me a 07 CPO 335 E92 for $38k with the rear tire on the front and front on the rear.

OH! now that makes sense why south bay won. what a crooked bmw dealership. im not surprised that they made this list after philip khan asked me for a 5 k deposit on a m3 because i can only imagine what they've pulled on others.
I've bought 3 cars from South Bay and 2 with Philippe Kahn. Best car purchasing experience ever. When I decided to do ED Philippe was extremely knowledgeable and put up with my multiple changes to trim, color and package choices with a smile. I think you will be hard pressed to find a better CA. I am also confident I got the best deal possible at the time. If you were asked to make a 5k security deposit it's not a bad move since you're essentially buying down MF rate and you get your deposit back at the end of the lease. I just did with a e93 m3 and it reduced my payments by almost $70/month. Furthermore their service department has the best loaners of any dealership, last time I dropped off my car I had a choice of a 535, 335 e92, Z or mini S. What more could you ask for?

Congrats Sohth Bay!! Keep up the good work!

this list is bs. bert ogden is the crappiest dealer i've ever been to. wanted to charge me 5k over msrp for an m3, my sister 10k over msrp for a 6 series back when it was released, and my mom 5k for some new wheels for her X5 but it would be a "swap" (meaning they were going to keep her stock wheels). all the salesmen (because they sure as hell aren't CA's) are extremely money hungry. the only reason they sell vehicles is because the nearest dealer is 2.5 hours away (corpus christi, which to my understanding isn't too hot either). Im happy giving my business to BMW of Austin. i serviced my car there throughout college and it was a very pleasant experience.

im not done! haha! bert ogden has no service loaners unless you've purchased from them, and even then they have limited amounts so ive had friends call me to pick them up. they also have NO knowledge of the vehicles they are selling. right after the press release came out on the DTC (DKG) one guy tried to convince me that it meant the car was going to have two clutch pedals in the vehicle. REALLY? C'MON!

Flemmington is my dealer and they're good except that they keep sticking me in Toyota loaners.

It appears BMWs purpose of "Best Dealership" is not in the best interest of enthusiasts.

I've never had any trouble with them at all. On my third car with them. Nothing but good service, helpful staff, they always have a loaner for us, and they are "no-bullshit" people.

Cuban is referring to stuff like this...

Many of us have had problems here, some have had some good service but personally after seeing some of the shady stuff they do to some customers (or at least try to do) and their association with Luxuary Auto Xchange we all try to steer clear of them just in case. There are a few really good dealers who take care of us in the area anyway, Laurel of Westmont, Patrick in Schaumburg and Knauz in Lake Bluff being the main ones.

The embarrassing part of those links is that Ken is my preferred SA...you just gotta know how to talk to him.

To be honest, the rest of the place is bullshit. They try to sweet talk you into doing things and they try to distract you. The only consistency I've seen is with Ken and with the manager of the service department. However, the rest of the service department and its employees are great.

I have to say, though, I feel like there are some parts of those stories not completely told; some owner mishaps gone hush-hush and some conniving and finagling going on.
