BOOTMOD3 Problems

Hi! I hope that someone can help me, I have opened a support ticket but I am not sure when they are going to reply. In short...

I flashed my F86 X6M to stage 2. I got a drivetrain malfunction once successful (took a few tries) and was then unable to online recode. I unplugged the battery for several minutes and that cleared the code. I felt the power, cold start was removed, car was flashed.

Today I wanted to adjust the burble so I went ahead and re-flashed. During the flash, the log in BM3 agent said coding not applied. It proceeded through the process and said flash successful but continued to throw the drivetrain malfunction. Once again, I was unable to online recode and kept getting the drivetrain malfunction, even after unplugging the batteries again.

Since I kept getting this malfunction, I tried to stock and lock. It went through successfully, but still throws the drivetrain malfunction. I am still unable to clear this code, I have spent several hours trying everything.

I know this is F10 forum but this is much more active than the X6 forums.

the burbles option in OTS maps only available on M3/M4, not for S63 engines...

I've figured that out, but that does not mean I should not have been able to online recode since the very beginning. I have a drivetrain malfunction on both the stock map and stage 2 that I cannot clear. Online recode does not work and hasn't worked. It says coding not applied everytime I flash.

What codes are you throwing? Sometimes a big bump in power, ie stage 2, can reveal the need to replace some spark plugs or coils; misfiring codes.

Fixed the problem. I couldn't online recode because of a problem on their end. I suspect not many X5/6M running BM3.

Are you willing to share how you fixed the problem? I'm about to BM3 my F86 and would be helpful to know how to fix this issue if it comes up for me! Was it just a false error about the drivetrain malfunction and it still drove perfectly fine, or was there an actual problem or limitation while that error message was being thrown?
