I really really love driving manual and all my cars I've owned so far have been manual.
Having driven both the DCT (for a year and a half) & the 6MT (Various test drives) The DCT is 100000X better if your looking to go fast and have perfect control over the motor. The 6MT gives you a different far more engaging feeling in the M5 its a novelty but its SOO much fun to drive this car in stick. It drastically changes the character of the car. I genuinely enjoy driving stick in all driving conditions, the clutch is very light compared to my E46 M3 and the auto rev matching on downshifts (in comfort and sport) make it easy when your just cruising around.

Yeah tell me about it. Most of the cars on CarGurus that say manual are definitely not. It's annoying.

I have a low mileage 13 6mt that I’d be willing to sell for the right price.

Check out my for sale post in my profile.

Man that is a nice M5 you got there but I'm just a lowly server right now making that pleb money. I can only dream of owning a M3 or M5 right now or else I'd be all over that with the 6 speed and low mileage.

Thanks! I'm really looking for a car that at-least has executive package. I know I can't be too picky in the hunt for an F10 M5 6MT but I had an M5 without exec and I need Comfort access and HUD this time around...

Why do you need HUD? I understand that it's very cool at night, but otherwise, they've always seemed worthless to me

If your driving at the limit, the M mode in the HUD is very helpful with an active RPM gauge. It's also very helpful in daily driving for the infotainment info and speedometer. But if you don't think it's worth it then that's more about what you can afford than it's actual benefits.

Well, I found another one, this one had its motor replaced a few thousand miles ago... While that would make me question the car's history it is also an added benefit seeing as the car has a brand new engine

Have you seen it in person by any chance? If all goes well with my negotiating would you be able to check it out for me? I'd compensate you for your time of course, in beer, liquor or cold hard cash whatever you'd prefer.

I saw it a couple days ago when I dropped off my m5 for service. I’ll be going back tomorrow and will take a better look if you’re really interested. No need to compensate. Someone I know already test drove the car and said it’s in perfect shape and loaded. I don’t think the dealer will budge on price since my friend tried and eventually gave up.

Glad to hear the car is well sorted, Sucks that they won't budge on price... But they are far above market price for this car.

Exactly, try to keep in mind that it's a buyer's market for these, especially for 2013 when 300 manuals were produced.

I checked the Carfax and it's reassuring to see that Westmont BMW did the engine replacement job. That's where I get my work done and have nothing but good things to say about them.

Thats also great to hear, as I stated earlier the engine replacement had me iffy about the car.

As rare as a 6MT F10 is the buyers for them are also pretty rare. The M5 I originally posted in my OP was sitting by that dealer for a full 3 months!!!

Any details on why they replaced motor or if BMW will warranty the new engine?

Don't give up the search. Car is with a 6sp.
