FYI

I tried to order this system from a couple of vendors over the holidays. I believe it was ECS and Summit Racing. I was assured that it would be shipped within two weeks of placing and paying for the order. 3 weeks later got an update saying that the manufacturer was processing the order. Called the vendor and he called Magnaflow - no definite date for shipping the product. Cancelled the order and went with Corsa.

I have someone that has multiple sets in stock for super cheap. Just don’t want to buy something without knowing if it’s trash or not. I know it’s not going to be top of the line but fitment is a big deal for me.

With that being said, I personally use Magnaflow products for my resto-mod projects. I have not had any bad experiences with quality, fit, finish or especially the sound.

That’s awesome news! Thanks so much for the input! I’m shocked at the price point I’ve found these systems for we don’t have more board members with them installed. I did find some pictures of a m6 system for sale. Quality looks ok

Because BMW owners are an odd bunch. People come to the forums for advice, to save money on maintenance; yet too many put too much emphasis into a name and don't feel exclusive until their rape costs them a lot. There are those who still love the mantra "you get what you pay for" in their $100k vehicles that have the worst reliability out there. But hey, they sure feel special when they pay $5k for some 3" piping and it looks really pretty when you can see it as it's been loaded onto a flatbed :-)

Hey I’m ok with saving some cash..lol. I just don’t want something to fit like shit on my pride and joy is all. I wish I could find someone on here that’s done and install or has pictures of fitment

Do you have any pictures of the fitment? How far do the tips stick out from the bumper? Happy with the sound?

I can post some pictures but no fitment issues. The quality is great as well. Sound is nice not loud at all but noticeable. I am happy but trying to swap it to a stock exhaust as I need the car to drive clients around. It does have some cabin drone around 1500-1800 rpm not obnoxious but can be heard in the cabin. Freeway speeds (75-80 mph) it is super quite inside the cabin.

So willing to share link to these systems? I'm more interested in just the Axle-Back portion.....

Look at allmotor2000's thread about Helmholtz resonators...$100 fix.

Pipes

Magnaflow system sounds great. Not too loud or too muted.
