First time oil change.

My 335 is now on 2400 mile, i m thinking of getting an oil change.

should i go back to the dealer, or store like Midas, pepboy or do it myself?

I just did the same thing. After the break-in period I was going to go to a Euro auto shop for an oil change. However, I checked with the dealer's service department and they actually were cheaper. While they tried to talk me out of it, they were nice and they did not reset the service timing for the free maintenance service. Added bonuses include: (1) all my service will be at the dealer, (2) genuine BMW oil and filter, and (3) dealer cannot complain somebody else screwing up the car.

How much did it cost you at the dealership. I got quoted by my CA "Oil change is $99.95 and scope for reset is $69.95 plus tax."

I was told that for 4 yrs (warranty) I do not have to pay anything for any oil or fluid changes in Canada is it different in the states?
