ESS E-Tronic Tune?

http://www.esstuning.com/products/S6...ic-Tuner-.html

Has anyone have any experience with this specific tune for the F10 M5?

I just installed it for my M4 and its very solid. I have not seen anyone install it on the M5 yet. Very interested in hearing some thoughts

...And what do you think? Noticeable difference or did you perhaps dyno your car? Funny, I went to their shop when I was there last May looking perhaps for a SC for my E92 M... No one there, but a sales guy who couldn't answer any of my questions. So, I was a little skeptical.

I don't want to thread jack but you can check out my review I just posted here:http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1069270

ESS is one of the biggest tuners there is in the BMW game. they have always served me well and service seems to always be top notch from my experience. I wonder what was going on the day you went in there.? Roman@ESS is usually the one that would be there and he is super in the know with everything tuning.

Me neither, thank you for the link. Not sure what happened, I was in Scottsdale on vacation and stopped by. I'm not disparaging the place at all, perhaps they were on vacation to.

def might have been the case. I have had the best luck over the 5+ years I have bought ESS products just PMing Roman@ESS direct and he always replies pretty promptly from my experience.

Either way is what it is right Happy Holidays and have a great week!

We saw very similar results to GOLFFRR's car on an F82 M4 that we dynoed a few weeks ago with the ESS module. Incredibly consistent results in back-to-back dyno runs with very little variance in power/torque between runs. Piggyback tunes generally lack consistency but the ESS was the best we have ever tested, rivaling a true ECU reflash in my opinion. It also felt very responsive and consistent in the real world, we never tested the customer's car at anything above moderate throttle (for obvious reasons) but the customer has been happy with it over these past few weeks.

We have not tested ESS' module on an S63 motor yet.

This video shows a dyno chart with one baseline and one tuned run but we did 6 or 7 pulls to look at the consistency of the tune, we're moving our dyno right now but I can pull up all the runs and post graphs in a day or two if anyone wants.

I also had the E60 tune and my car and was very happy with it. Top notch company but they do hit the road a lot wherever there is a BMW gathering to my knowledge. Met some of the guys at Bimmerfest Pasadena and they are who they say they are.

ESS is Legit. Had their tune on my E60 M5 as well. They allowed me to hit 200+mph several times with the venerable V10.

However, if this tune does not allow for the removal of the CEL, removal of the 155mph limiter, and removal of the Cold Start Sequence, then I will never get it. I don't need more power, I need functionality.

Your M5 is limited to 155 ?
You need BMS or Dinantronic ecu

Correct. I guess I was stating that 155mph has been exceeded by many S63T engines. And just throwing it out there about the tunes. I have seen his F10 M5 and it is a beast !!!

Any updates on this tune? It sounds like a great value from a respected company?

I'm loving mine on m3. I went to their shop to get it installed and the builds they have going are absolutely incredible. I have full confidence in ess and they are more then a quick tuner, they design and build real engines and shop was pristine. Ess tune is better than stock and they have a linear map I use

PP-Performance handles CEL & removal of the 155mph governor.
