ESS E-Tronic Tune?
http://www.esstuning.com/products/S6...ic-Tuner-.html
Has anyone have any experience with this specific tune for the F10 M5?

I just installed it for my M4 and its very solid. I have not seen anyone install it on the M5 yet. Very interested in hearing some thoughts

...And what do you think? Noticeable difference or did you perhaps dyno your car? Funny, I went to their shop when I was there last May looking perhaps for a SC for my E92 M... No one there, but a sales guy who couldn't answer any of my questions. So, I was a little skeptical.

ESS is one of the biggest tuners there is in the BMW game. they have always served me well and service seems to always be top notch from my experience. I wonder what was going on the day you went in there.? Roman@ESS is usually the one that would be there and he is super in the know with everything tuning.

Me neither, thank you for the link. Not sure what happened, I was in Scottsdale on vacation and stopped by. I'm not disparaging the place at all, perhaps they were on vacation to.

I had the ESS tune in my E60 and was very happy with it.

We saw very similar results to GOLFFRR's car on an F82 M4 that we dynoed a few weeks ago with the ESS module. Incredibly consistent results in back-to-back dyno runs with very little variance in power/torque between runs. Piggyback tunes generally lack consistency but the ESS was the best we have ever tested, rivaling a true ECU reflash in my opinion. It also felt very responsive and consistent in the real world, we never tested the customer's car at anything above moderate throttle (for obvious reasons) but the customer has been happy with it over these past few weeks.
We have not tested ESS' module on an S63 motor yet. This video shows a dyno chart with one baseline and one tuned run but we did 6 or 7 pulls to look at the consistency of the tune, we're moving our dyno right now but I can pull up all the runs and post graphs in a day or two if anyone wants. |

I also had the E60 tune and my car and was very happy with it. Top notch company but they do hit the road a lot wherever there is a BMW gathering to my knowledge. Met some of the guys at Bimmerfest Pasadena and they are who they say they are.

ESS is Legit. Had their tune on my E60 M5 as well. They allowed me to hit 200+mph several times with the venerable V10.
However, if this tune does not allow for the removal of the CEL, removal of the 155mph limiter, and removal of the Cold Start Sequence, then I will never get it. I don't need more power, I need functionality.

I'm loving mine on m3. I went to their shop to get it installed and the builds they have going are absolutely incredible. I have full confidence in ess and they are more then a quick tuner, they design and build real engines and shop was pristine. Ess tune is better than stock and they have a linear map I use
