M3 vs m5

What do you think the ratio of m3s to m5s on the road is? For every 4 m3s domyoumthink there is one m5? Just curious.

I would say m5 is harder to come by on the road, at least in Toronto.

Don't post this on the M3/4 forum, you will be inundated with shit comments.

M5 is a rearer bird here in the UK IMO.

Cost could be a factor.

I think my test/review of the M3 upset the majority over there
Feck knows why it was just an opinion

You are right. They are not really popular in fact dealers can't get rid of them hence huge discounts.

I never see M5s - only Koxal's at the gym. M3's are all over the place - the F82 will be the same. I think when u get into the $100k range, M5 just isnt everyone's top choice.

I disagree, M5s are loved in Europe but very difficult to afford compared to the US. M5 is a dream car in Europe.

People jumped all over the following statement on the M3 board but I want to know from M5 users. My next car will be an individual M5 - I know the lease incentives are fantastic right now - what are ya'll paying per month on a 36/10K or 12K lease on a decently optioned M5. I don't think price is so much a difference - an 80-85K m3 can't be TOO much different than a 110K M5.

Depending on options, MSD's, down money, deal over invoice you negotiate and state lease taxes, you'll be somewhere in the $1000-1500 range.

And as far as diff in lease payment between the M3 and M5... you're talking about a $20-30k diff in cap cost. Depending on the lease rates, the diff COULD be substantial. I don't know the rates for the M3/4. But I'm guessing the monthly diff would fall somewhere between $300-600. Again, just a guess.

Dude you were begging for that.

It's like going over to the Mercedes board and saying that the CLS63 is a land yacht designed for geriatrics. Some things you should just share with like minded people. M3 enthusiasts don't want to hear why the M5 is better.

I guess much more than 5:1 (IMO). Most of the M3s will be in high 60s or low 70K; so the monthly payment will be in 700-800 range (in 6 months after honeymoon party is over) considering the gas and insurance it will end up to around 1200 monthly. on the other hand M5 is mostly 100k-110k and in normal deal, the payment is about 1200-1300 and again gas and insurance will end up to around 1800 monthly. with that said M3 is much more affordable than M5, since with 1800 you can get and M3 and another valuable car! 1800 is a huge money, almost the mortgage of a house in most of states.

Yes it's really hard to sell 100k+ car than 70k car and also when you want to buy a 100k+ car, you are in category of other brands luxury cars like MB E,S,CLS AMG, P-car and Audi RS7, or even BMW M6GC. In case of M3 there are just few competition such as RS4, C63 with comparable price. rarely M3 guys cross shop Boxter or cayman or 911 base since they are 2 doors. I don't think there is a huge chance for Japanese car as well or maybe ISF

M5 is a dream car in US as well! Many experts say that your total transportation expenses should not exceed 20%-25% of your monthly net income. with that said, in order to be able to have a healthy budget and afford $1800 per month, the income must be over 120K. only %15 (a little more or less) Household income in US is over 120K and still some of them have other cars must be taken care!

I've only seen 1-2 F10 M5's in my area. But I've seen 3-4 M6 GC's.

I live in a country where only less than 10% of the total population have a car or rather can afford an automobile so that alone speaks about where I'm from

With that said, I reckon that for every 10-20 M3 cars I see on Philippine roads, I only saw JUST ONE M5.

Haha xD
