Audi R8 V10 2017 vs Audi R8 2012 vs my M5 MPExhaust

To whom it may concern lol 😂
I just had this Aud R8 2012 flavor and 2017 flavor last week for over 24 hours as part of having fun in Vegas (Wrong type of fun I was told but to each his own!!

I loved the 2017 and Gosh hated like in really hated the 2012 and much prefer my M5 over the V10 2012 and kudos to BMW on that but Gosh sweet Jesus, Mary and Joseph thaaaaat sweet 2017 is the best thing that could have ever happened to me during my Vegas week! (Don't get to drink 🍹 much because none on car days!!, last day I had a corvette Stingray and I liked it for its price point it's a deal IMHO)

I never quite understood what people meant with V10 being the top experience and we're not happy to part wins E60 but now I do but only when done right because the 2012 flavor or take if you will wasn't the right recipe to the point I much preferred the M5 turbo suckers over it but that V10 in the 2017 (20% coaster to highest RPM!!!) and the whole thing from exhaust blips up down shifting to screaming V10 between RPM 8500-9500 OMG!!

With a heavy heart I have back the vehicle to the rental company
They are called Royalty Exotic Car Rentals and hey apologized for the bad Audi 2012 which was in bad shape I must admit so hat could have made things seems worse and I can be borderline personality all good or all bad

But Audi R8 is exactly what I was told is a Lamborghini Huracan in the more civil sheeps clothing if an R8 and I can only imagine if this was the V10 Plus with the more than 600 horse power and 417 torque!!

I thought I would share and get your experiences too if any?!

I would rate myMPExhauste 4/10 if this R8 10 was 8-9/10 not that I ever heard any better but being conservative

But he said it has he upgraded Formula 1 exhaust and I don't even know what this means

My guess is you drove the 12 like an auto in which case you'd always have a bad time, or didn't spend enough time lifting and shifting at the top of each gear [don't worry tons of hate for the Rtronic/Egear],

2017 is the huracan transmission and one of the best transmissions on the market and probably tied with PDK as the best, so I'd think anyone could easily concluded the 17 is better than technology that is essentially cerca 2004 when the Egear was released

It was also really abused 2012 V10 with about 58k on it and likely abuse miles!!
I put 200+ miles on my R8 2017 in 1 day and as hard driving but certainly not abuse!! I drove it like I do my car!!

Yeah i have no idea about clutch change or anything he experienced, I can say for certain going from e92 dct, to m5 dct, to m4 dct, to GTR, back to this R-Tronic it is 100% antiquated that said unless you're going for 1/4 or racing something very close in hp its perfectly fine for getting around, and enjoying the v10.

S-Tronic you have should take tons of abuse much like the GTR and M5DCT... An SSP clutch and some turbos you have an 8 second car lol vs. R-Tronic where UGR had to get a super prepped track and 2000whp to move that older trans down the track at those speeds.

But for what I'm doing roll racing, any transmission advantage someone else has will easily be eclipsed when my cars making 1500whp

The noise that comes from the back is second to none.

LOL here we go.... Ive had the 12 and now have the 17 tuned past the Plus powerplant level. Its an amazing car (gen 2) but gen 1 wasnt all too bad because I did the TCU updates on the R tronic tranny.

The gen 2 is an amazing piece of machinery and while its slower than the Turbo S - its miles ahead in sound and "personal" feel (my thoughts). Having owned a Huracan- the R8 is more refined, comfortable and usable in a daily format. While its still easy on the eyes, its not so "wild" nor does it have the blind spots that the H car had. Its actually the faster car (Plus vs Huracan) in oem format due to gearing. I love the full 13 inch TFT screen along with the steering feel (minor understeer) vs the Huracan which was moderate to heavy.

I felt like the TFT screen was kinda like the first time I experienced bmw hud, it was something I'd have to really get used to, because so much was being done right in front of you.

Its simple, 10 min and you can figure out what you want and what not needed. Plus its kind of similar to the Huracan but much better.
