Carpro leather coat for Merino leather?
Hi all,
Has anyone used or experienced with the Carpro leather coat product for protecting their M5/M6 Merino leather seats? http://www.carpro-us.com/cquartz-fab...er-coat-100ml/ Will this also prevent color dye marking? The description said don't use it on white leather, I wonder that means no for SilverStone or Platinum color... Thanks for sharing

I would recommend leather masters products. Their leather barrier product prevents dye transfer.

@spinny02 this stuff may make the leather easier to clean.

I have no complaint for the leather master stuff. I coated the seat with the dye transfer barrier a month ago, and now any color or dirty wipes off easily with just a micro fiber cloth and the leather master cleaner.
Thanks Stealth.

Does Leather Master products keep the merino leather in it's original condition?
I mean, does it make it more oily or shiny? Merino as it comes from factory has no oil or shine look, it's just a matte fine grain texture, I'd like to preserve it that way. Not sure if that's possible? Thanks |

When people say "use sparingly", how much do you/they mean? For example, if I were to put a drop of the leather master product on a cloth that was the size of a quarter, what kind of coverage would I expect to get out of that? 6 square inches? A square foot? An entire seat?

Just experiment a bit, I started with a dime size drop and try to cover large area making sure I'm not soaking the cloth or soaking the leather.
