Looking for M5

Do you think its the right decision to purchase M5 2012 (with some discountr given of course) when the new one is coming right away?

well personally its just a facelift, and i believe i heard we can retrofit?

Depends on price.

2013 upgrades over 2012:
- new iDrive version with better graphics, sharper screen, etc.
- BMW Assist on 3.5G instead of EDGE

2014 upgrades over 2013:
- improved steering feel
- new design steering wheel
- touch controller for iDrive (but same iDrive version as last year)
- new headlight and taillight design
- metal bars framing iDrive screen
- Concierge included in price
- LED Headlights (optional)
- Comp Package (Optional)
- bunch of other trivial things

Of course it all depend son your discount (which should be strong on the 2012). The 2014 is a much improved car IMO for the steering changes alone. This was one of the flaws specifically reported by many 2013-2013 owners. The new steering gives you a much less "heavy" and more "connected" feel. YUou just need to weigh personal value vs. cost. While these changes might mean everything to some people, truly they mean nothing at all to others. It is a stellar car in every year model of the F10.

Yes. Actually even with 2014 upgrades are very small unless you buy the optional LED lights or Comp Pkg. Without those the car looks almost the same. The only major cosmetic difference is the grille - and you can retrofit that for $150.

The steering is improved, but the 2012-2013 steering is also very good so I don't think you would be disappointed either way.

I bought my 2013 2 weeks ago and wouldn't look back, I personally prefer the grills and headlight over the 2014!

basically i'm just amazed on how fast the F10 M5 is...

the other day on a drag track, a tuned m5 with 3 people in it beat a 458 with only 1 person in it..
i just love the idea of being fast with more space inside.
