The eyes of Artemis

I pick her up tomorrow.
I am not sure if this has been discussed with the LED lights, but in the distal headlight housing along the bottom and inner (grill) side there is a strip of alternating dark and light rectangles which light up "reflect" when the DRL or low beams are on. I have not had a chance to try the high beams yet. I wonder what the purpose of this is besides looking cool. I think viewed from the side, they may stand out for safety reasons. I guess it is the opposite of having bags under your eyes. Nonetheless, it is spectacular.

There are separate cornering lights located in the housing along the grill side
