Extended warranty

Ok guys, my factory warranty expires in May this year.
Question is, I'm looking at the BMW Platinum 5 year/100k miles. Does this warranty mean it's additional 5 years and up to 100k miles total?
OR
It's 5 years from 2013(in service year)?

I think it means total. From date of sale.

It is from the original date of sale, and like buying a car, you should shop around. I saved around $500 off the MSRP. The way it plays out, you'll be stuck shopping dealerships in your regional area.
