From A Financial POV Would You Buy An Individual BMW M4 And Modify It Or A 911 Turbo

When i sell my current '15 M3 i want to get either a Fully Loaded BMW M4 Individual Inside Out And Modify the hell out of it, charge pipes, dp, exhaust, air intake, visual mods, suspension, wheels/tires, interior cosmetic mods, simply everything. Or get a whatever model year is out 911 turbo (non s) or an r8 V10 Plus. You see when i get the m4 with the saudi arabia prices it'll cost approximately 550k riyal which is aprox 150k usd and a new 991.2 turbo cost 604k and a V10 Plus 638k which is NOT a big difference. What will you choose?

911 for financial and high driver appeal.
R8 will kill you in a crash.
M4 is what I'd be most comfortable with and simply want to add aftermarket wheels.

No disrespect to the BMW fanboys but I think the M4 is not in that league of cars you're looking into. Between the R8 and the 991 turbo I would pick the 991. Good luck on your purchase.

I'd recommend the Turbo or R8. I just picked up a LP Superleggera intending to keep it stock, but now I'm adding a blower to it...760+- AWD power should be fun!

You could look at a low mileage R8 and do the same for probably less than a brand new one. That would make the most financial sense IMO.

Just for comparison, I have a nicely modded C63 with coilovers, 540+ hp and the experience just doesn't compare. I actually thought it was fairly raw and quick...until I drove the SL lol. Part of it is the cabin. In a R8 you feel wrapped around by the car, more intimate.

The turbo and r8 plus are already blistering fast stock, and have the potential to be total beasts if you choose.

You can daily that Turbo S, put plenty of groceries in the frunk and still get 28mpg with Supercar performance. Ooze affect, V10 Plus.

Yeah I'm leaning 911. 911 Turbo is one of the best sport cars out there.

Either way, you're good. If you do Turbo S, put some HAS and spacers. It'll look even more squat.

Meh, the M4 is bloated and boring now. Throw in the crank hub issues which are popping up and it's an easy pass. Wouldn't modify one bolt on the car if I owned it.

The BMW ///M folks seem to be completely incapable of producing a motor which doesn't have possible serious issues down the line. Overpriced as well.

Tesla P100D...just saying

A little quieter, but just as fast off of the line... and with a 315 mile range, pretty much the same as the others as well!

These 3 options should not be comparable...

R8 she 991 Turbo are SUPERCARS!!!

M4 is not.

R8 = 1st

Porsche = 2nd choice.

I know but i said from a financial point of view. Individual Modified M4 costs 50k less than a 911 turbo in saudi prices.

Also. 911 Turbo has a load of compressors and motors for active aerodynamics. It's a complicated car. Not sure how the 911 Turbo handles the Peninsula heat.

Mid-engine R8 creates a lot of heat. Very low so as a daily driver that may be a deficit.

I noticed no Mercedes AMG-GT, very fast well made, and they handle high ambient temperatures very well.

M4 is super comfortable, rear wheel arches are very well done. Great engine with great power. Very modifiable.
Manual transmission. As for being bloated...I tend to compare 4-Series with Mercedes E-class, I thought the 4-Series was extremely refined like an E-class.

To me 911 look bloated, and when you read the Porsche forums - the Porsche guys tend to comment, particularly to BMW guys, that the 'grass ain't necessarily greener on the other side'

In the end; price, power, prestige -I'd very seriously consider an M4. And if the car were to be driven daily, I'd be more inclined to get the M4 and it's fast.

Porsche maximized cooling capabilities on the Turbo. Extremely efficient car. Just saying.

Bought the M4 and will mod the hell out of it.
It's so hard to individualize an Porsch nowadays unless you opt for obvious -> TT's, wide body kit...but that kind of stuff is some serious highroller playground.

I'd go with the Porsche Turbo or the M4. R8's do absolutely nothing for me.

The R8, just cause it's like a 15% price difference over the M4.. and oh yeah that V10..
