The fit and finish on the P cars are well done in this segment.

The M4 is a fun car to drive, but BMW failed on the sound so it just grew on me over time. It's nicer with the top down! The last option on my list to purchase will always be the radio, and soft door closing to me are just more things to break unless I'm driving a cushy S CLASS or 7 series.
With 3 passengers (plus myself) going to a short road trip yesterday, I missed the power of S63tu A LOT. I understand adding about 700 lb weight to the KING will degrade the agility and quickness and everything and there is no complain but with similar situation, M6 didn't even sense any difference! Actually with more weight on M6 I had better traction and power was big enough to accelerate at any speed and gear!

Somebody needs to switch the 3ltr tt to a 4.4tt engine in an F8x. now That would be an awesome combo

I might go for tuning on this car
Stage three Dinan makes it over 550 HP/TQ

Your points are spot on, and I would never have purchased the M4 if it was M only car. It's a good DD for me, and I wanted a convertible so it suites my needs. The RS is my speed fix, but I will get move the M4 in 2018 it would would have served it's purpose. Funny I looked at S Coup AMG .....big car but a good DD. I have time so no rush. I never have more than 2 in the M4 ....... Escalade does that work(:

Do it!! I've driven the ACS M4 with 510 hp and it makes a huge difference mid-range. 550hp/tq would be perfect if you can get the power down. Might need some wideboy rear tyres to go with your tune

It's a good DD car for me too especially in heavy traffic of silicon valley.
I too have two more years (or a little more) to move to the next M6 or who knows something in that range...Did you test drive the S Coupe? It's heavy and big but very comfortable and powerful...maybe a good DD ...

The widest tire I believe is safe for this 20x10 rear rim is 295/35/20 and I will go with MPSS but even with current power, I feel the tail is more happy than M6

Do you think that extra 10mm will make a difference with another 100hp/tq? Especially with the rear of the M3/4 being so light? I'm sure I've read some guys on here have gone up to 305 on the rear without problems... either way, there's no substitute for the M5/6 grunt even with 4 people in the car

No I don't think 10 mm is enough but the minimum rim width for MPSS 305/30/20 is recommended 10.5" by manufacturer

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

Also jumping from 285 to 305 will produce so much understeer which is not suitable for an agile car ... 305 worked on M6 perfectly and I had lots of traction especially with Nitto NT05 semi slick tire. Not sure about this one.

Not to concerned with a DD it's more pleasure and date night with the little lady(: I really want to see the new E Coup in a AMG model if they do it? Also Panamera GT3 I like the new look. I'm all over the board now, but not sure I can do the turbo M just doesn't seem right to be a turbo car. I'm also not a moder ......the way it comes off the lot is the way I roll minus some tint.

Don't get me wrong I like the M4 the sound has grown on me, and I love the drop top.

I see. E Coupe AMG (if they do) makes sense more than S Coupe in term of sport car IMO
As far as M4, I have no issue with sound at all. The CP has nice sound BTW.

Agree. I heard the CP and GTS better but not great .........actually it sounds better with the top down because it kills the electronic pumped in noise.

Remember after I park the RS I'm spoiled. The RS sounds better than the GT3.

You can always disable the ASD if you want. The unit is located inside the trunk. Just disconnect it
Here you can find the video explains how to disconnect the connector
