Manhart M6 vs McLaren MP 4-12 C

MP4....FTW! The upgrade Mclaren made to the 2012+ 12C's for the 50-80+ or so extra hsp is insane...

It is actually only a 25hp increase, but here's the kicker, if you bought a 2012 MP4-12C, McLaren will upgrade your ECU to 616hp for FREE!!!

What doesn't add up?

The M6 has around 200hp more than the Scud, which isn't famous for it's straight line speed, especially over 100mph.
The MP4 is a monster in every performance catagory.

Truue, I stand corrected. Should have said, "it feels like 50-80 extra" haha.

Seriously...what exactly do you expect? A nearly 4,200 lbs car with (let's call it) 700hp is not going to be able to hang with a 3,300 lbs car that is putting out 626hp. The McLaren has just as good of a DCT transmission so there is no performance advantage the M6 holds over the MP4.

So yeah the MHR M6's performance in the video IS CLOSE within the context of a car that probably traps 130mph (MHR M6) in 1/4 mile vs a car that traps 135mph (MP4) in the 1/4 mile. After the initial jump (meaning that it just shot out ahead of the M6) the McLaren was slowly pulling away from the M6.... far from leaving it from dead. With all things considered, the MHR M6 handled itslef quite well.

If it's making 700HP then that makes sense, But these new M's tend to produce all sorts of results.

It's not a stock M6. It is tuned by Manhart.
