Good, I was worried you were already overpowering the tires. For the HP level you'll be at, being able to fine tune for each gear must be very important. Even a flash tune on a stock motor makes 2nd gear problematic. Looking forward to the new year and more success from your project!

Last night got a 5.3s 60-130mph and 4.6s 100-200kph. It was after several back-to-back runs while tuning. Boost was around 28psi.
This morning car ran a 5.3s 60-130mph at 26psi (colder and better conditions). This is on stock intake and stock exhaust. Will try with an intake shortly and increase the boost a bit... I think 4.x is achievable. |

Update:
Believe one of the throttle actuators failed (bank 2). Not sure if it was just wear (considering it’s a BMW and original mileage is 51K... just out of warranty) or the increased boost causing issues. Anyways need to change it. |

What were indicators of a bad throttle actuator? I've gotten codes for that in the past on the JB4, but Carista listed them as misfires. I've since went colder plugs and it seems to have stopped, but I'll get overboost if I run certain maps but I'm only hitting 21psi.

Swapped TB’s and smooth as butter now. Very easy DIY may write something up. Same as replacing the IC’s.
Let’s get back on track to turn it up! Any Cars and Coffee this weekend?? |

That tb was pretty dirty wonder if some of that is caused by the crappy breather near the turbo inlets when it was stock. You got alot of dialling in still before you hit track?

The carbon buildup is on the intake-manifold side of the TB... so it can't be from the PCV.
Yeah more stuff to sort out before its track ready. |

Tried out Terry’s updated firmware with a new CANBus engine that runs much faster. Improved WG control and much linear power delivery.
If someone volunteers to be a camera car we can take more videos I took one of the BMS guys for a ride (he has a 750whp N54) and he said this was the fastest car he has ever been in... from him I take it as a compliment! |
