A notice sent from BMWNA M Brand Manager, United States, Matt Russell, to all BMW dealers provides more detailed launch info for the F10 M5 into the US market. Some of this is new info and some were previously confirmed.

DETAILS:
  • Pricing, official Dealer Bulletin, product brochures, and Ordering Guide will be released concurrent to the New York International Auto Show in the first week of April.
  • Start of Production will match other MY13 5 Series models. [As we posted last week from the 2012 Detroit NAIAS, the expected SOP date is late July, for September deliveries. No model year 2012.]
  • European Delivery will be offered, and is expected to be available starting in August.
  • A focused driving program is being developed at Performance Driving School in Spartanburg to provide maximum time behind the wheel of the new M5.
  • 6 speed manual transmission will be a no-cost option and exclusive to the North American market. Equipped with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
  • M5 microsite @ http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...M5Explore.aspx

I really hope it competes in price with the E63 ($88,900) and not CLS63 (which starts at $94,900).

There are no pricing PDFs yet. As the original post says, pricing will be announced in the first week of April, concurrently with the 2012 NY auto show.

Considering where the 6 is priced and the CLS63, I've got to assume you're looking at a base of low/mid 90's, with a price somewhere in the $108-$115K range when spec'd out.

I'm really hopeing they follow suit on the German pricing (few thousand lower than the e63 AMG). which would put it at 85,900. if so Euro delivery MCB for me.

Waiting for the US price and the online configuration page is killing me!

2013 us spec m5

I attended the rolex 24 race in daytonna beach florida and bmw north america had 2 monte carlo blue m5 (us spec) on display. I must say the car looks stunning in the metalin a way that the pictures cannot convey. Like many have said before, monte carlo blue is the perfect color for this car! stunning!
Anyway, beside each car there was a stand that had a spec. sheet (though not in great detail) of the standard and optional features of the us spec cars. Nothing new here except 2 optional feautures caught my attention;

1.Excecutive pkg (ZEC). what on earth is that?

2.Bang & oluffsen sound system!. Surprise, surprise!!! the us spec m5 will have this system as an option when the regular 5 series doesn't even offer it.

Is it true the F10 M5 is coming to Canada in May 2012 while only arriving in the US in August/September 2012????

I can't see the canadian market seeing the F10 M5 before the US market

You guys are so lucky.
Those prices in the us are really cheap.

I pay 148000,- in euro's. That makes me very jalous.

New member on this board...was looking for any additional info/update on US pricing and timing...

I recently was at BMW NA headquarters in Woodcliff Lake,NJ for a private showing of the new F10 M5(the blue one you've seen at a few US events over the past couple months) and have been told that orders will indeed begin in early April with first european delivery scheduled to begin Sept 1...given that August most of europe is shut down, its probably going to be later than that...add in another 6 weeks+ for deliv to US and you're looking at late Oct for the euro deliv cars to hit the US...Can anyone confirm/add more specific info on the US delivery vehicles?
