Several thousand miles on the cool carbon fronts. Less dust than the stock rear pads.

How does the stopping power feel relative to stock? Any squeal?

Zero squeal. Equivalent stopping power in my opinion.

You can order them from ECS Tuning. That's where I got them too. Only $195 bucks I think.

I'll be interested in this as well. I just picked up my M5 yesterday and drove 1000 miles home with it and the brake dust is pretty bad. Esp after the rain

I got the brake pads on Monday and attempted to install them yesterday.

Dealer found 2 defective pistons on each side of the front calipers. One of them was in stock the other has to be ordered from the US.

I won't have the car back until early next week

Edit: I wonder if my brake squeal (sounded like an 18 ton truck) was caused by the defective pistons?

ECS Tuning has Cool Carbon Pads for $189 + shipping. Only see fronts on the site, not rears.

I got the carbotech installed and the dust is drastically improved. I was able to purchase front and rear pads for $415, best money I have spent since I've owned the car.

Has anyone received a definitive answer yet regarding whether using these pads voids the vehicle warranty and relieves bmw of having to repair.....for instance warped rotors??

If your rotors are cracked they may at their desire replace them once. They did replace mine. But good luck as they try that I don't know how you drive shit. I replace my rotors when I change pads. If your concern about warrentee I suggest waiting til your out. But you never know if you don't try

I finally got them installed. Still braking them in, I've done around 200km. Not sure how long the brake in period is. I replace both pads and rotors.

The good news is brake dust has nearly disappeared.

Edit: Wheel damage most likely occurred by a rock getting stuck between caliper and wheel.

Anyone else getting a fitment issue with the Carbon Tech front pads?

I noticed a clunking sound when hitting any medium sized pot hole. It sounded like the clunking from hitting a manhole cover. Without hitting one.

I brought the car into BMW and they found the sound to be the front brake pad brackets not sitting flush top to bottom with the caliper. Something which isn't an issue with OEM pads. You can manually move them up and down by hand with not much force.

Anyone else have this issue?

Nope! Loving mine so far. The decreased amount in brake dust is unreal.

Someone in another thread posted it's 95% less than stock and I completely agree the difference is shocking. I did a 250 mile road trip through mountains yesterday and the fronts are completely clean.

I was worried about stopping power being less than stock. After breaking in the pads and rotors the stopping power seems identical to stock. I don't track my car and with spirited driving I can't tell the difference.

As for the fitment issue I contacted Carbon Tech waiting to hear back.
