Smile Turner Axle-Back vs Stock Comp pack

Hi,

I am just about to buy a Turner exhaust for my M6 (the one that deletes the mufflers) and i currently have a comp pack exhaust with the valves wired open.

My main question is how much louder will it be and is it worth getting it?

I just need some closure before i pull the trigger.

N

Should be a good amount louder, comp pack is barely louder than oem non comp exhaust. You can listen to tons of clips of Turner Muffler Deletes on YouTube if you want to hear them.

Non comp pack, but as you can see it's considerably louder. Little bit of drone at 1800rpms but not too bad. Love it.

Not sure if this will help but I've got a comp pack and just had ESS down pipes installed. It's loud. I'd actually suggest that you get DPs before an exhaust. You'll get more hp/tq from the DPs where as with just an exhaust you'll get next to nothing. This is just my .02. Not trying to start an argument or debate. Cheers.

The Turner and similar solutions, removing the rear mufflers will make your car misrable for you, your passengers and your neigbours... it simply isn't a 'nice' drone or one that can be avoid... you will hate your car I am sure.

You could buy my full cat back Ti exhaust and all the godies for not lot more... great growl and extra V8 bass but NO DRONE.

I love my Turner kit. No regrets.

Great sales pitch though

Did you have to have a tune done too? I enquired both geting this done here but it will cost me 3.5k just for the downpipes then a tune.....

The turner just sounds like a cheaper option with less hassle that gives a great sound.

Yes i did get a tune at the same time. My cost was a bit over 3k for ESS DPs/tune and install.

I have turner and catless and drone isn't bad. Exhaust sounds amazing and is aggressive at wot. Cold starts are the only bad part. Very rude for the first 10-15 seconds
