Coating Downpipes necessary?

I have an F06 and my catless DPs are just sitting here in the box waiting to be installed, but I'm wondering if it's necessary to have them ceramic (Swaintech) coated prior to installation?

How many of you are running these without any coating or wrap? I wouldn't mind paying to get them coated, but Swaintech's current lead times are 5-6 weeks incl. transit times (I'm not quite that patient). Car isn't tracked, just pairing the DPs w a JB4 BCM.

Yes, take them to a local place and pay $100. They should have Cerakote high temp coating (not the high temp paint for guns).
