Got the rear brakes done last night. Picked a much better time to do them, temperature wise. Used ISTA to put the car in workshop mode and that worked like a charm for the rear parking brake. You dont have to mess with it at all.
All the extra steering wheel vibrations I was getting seem almost gone. Feels like just the road imperfections now. - Which is all of the shitty roads around DFW. Quote:
Its new to me at 30k miles. Last owner kept it clean but she was driving around on bald tires and brakes that were starting to vibrate. Oil and diff fluid next might be next up.. |

^^looking clean! Are you happy with the quality of the tips? I like the carbon over burnt titanium look. I almost ordered a set but decided to keep it more low key with black staggered slash cut for the Soul muffler delete.

Very clean. Who did you go through for the key fob upgrade? Also, any insight as to whether or not the BMS intake performs better than stock?

Thank you! I didn’t notice a performance increase with the BMS intakes, but the sound is worth the upgrade. If I had it to do over - I would probably build my own kit. I’ve since replaced the BMS silicone coupler on the turbo side with a 15 degree elbows. If you look closely at my pic, you can see the MAF mounting location is really high and this sucks for two reasons: 1) the harness is under tension in that mounting position and 2) the MAF contacts the heat shield on the underside of the hood. I kept getting intermittent CEL’s related to the MAF after I installed the intakes and it took me a minute to figure out why. If you rotate the intake to gain MAF clearance, it puts the filter too high and then it too gets crushed by the hood. The fit of these is honestly not amazing.
The key is a $300 upgrade. Key conversion can be bought on ebay here for $30 https://www.ebay.com/vod/FetchOrderD...=1809075029013 Coding from a local locksmith runs about $250. This key is indiscernible from an OEM key once you put the new BMW logo on the lock button. It’s fully functional for comfort access and all. I bought two from this seller and had them both coded, and both work flawlessly. |

I purchased the lip from a member here, he cracked his first one and then bought a second one. But before installing the new one, he got a F90 M5 and i ended up being the new happy owner. Fitment is not perfect, still a great quality lip. Unfortunately I don't know the manufacturer

Out of curiosity, are you running stock brake fluid for the track, or did you "upgrade"?

MPerformance rear diffuser installed today. Perfect fit and makes the rear so sexy
Also installed my billet bimmerworld pedals after painting the logo matte black. Dead pedal is on its way! This is my idea of a “pedalcure” on a solo Saturday |

PedalHaus dead pedal showed up! Just in time for Saturday pedalcure
Also swapped the ///M emblem on the engine shroud to a black unit. Pic shows the intake elbows pretty well too. Anyway I’m done for the day /photowhoring |
