Micro scratches even with hand wash

Any idea why my IB is showing some micro scratches when looked in detail ( with artificial light at night for example) if mostly has been hand washed.?

Could be done at drying?

Because the water jet if very dirty (i doubt it as the scratches are quasi circular)?

Or maybe the foam?

Thanks for any tip

Who hand washed it? If it was a hand car wash then I am not surprised at all.

Hand washing does not prevent swirls. Most handwashing causes the kind of swirls you are seeing. The issue is people rub too hard or don't use clean mitts, clean towels, or clean foam (two bucket method or spray foam with mitt rinse bucket).

2 bucket washing is a must, and invest in a foam cannon. More foam the better. Also don't hand dry, blow dry. I don't really enjoy detailing my car mostly because my time is very limited and I swore I was never going to get a dark color again, but here I am.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunatly most of the times has been me, but clearly, and unadvertedly, in the wrong way, with hard hand dry.

Let me share my technique:
1) Rinse the car with a high pressure hose to get off as much dirt as possible.
2) I have a gilmour foammaster 2 and I foam up the car with that
3) Rinse it again to get more dirt off
4) foam it up again. Then take 2 buckets and wash the car with a microfiber mitt. I don't apply pressure I just swipe sideways to loosen any dirt not already removed by foam and rinse. One bucket is to wash the mitt after a few swipes, the other is to relubricate the mitt.
5) rinse off with a demineralized rinse (ie can dry naturally with no spots)
6) Blow dry the car with master blaster (car dryer I bought on amazon).

This approach barely touches the paint, and certainly doesn't involve touching dry paint.
