ECFest 2018

Lady and Gents,

Just got back from ECFest 2018 yesterday.

Was a hell of a weekend. The first pictures have just been posted in another forum but I am sharing them here too. All credit goes to DaZeesksta for the pix.

What originally started as an all M5 gathering of cars from Northern California to Southern California has now grown to include all EuroCars (EC) and this year people drive from all way up in Washington State to Arizona and where I live in San Diego. We all gather in a centrally located town picturesque and with weather good enough so early in the year (well mostly good weather), in the town of San Luis Obispo. This year was extra special as we had a brand new 2018 Mercedes E63S attend and a brand new 2018 BMW F90 M5 in attendance. Additionally, there were not one but two F10 M5's present with fully built forged motors, each making a ton of power. There were also shenanigans to put it mildly and some of us could not escape Johnny Law, but overall the entire weekend was a resounding success!

I personally had a blast this year as my car was out of commission for the past two ECFests.

Anyways, here are some of the first pix to come out. I will update as more become available.

It was indeed an awesome time like no other! NorCal & SoCal caravans depart and meet in SLO for the event. Catered lunch, dinner, manager's reception which provides all drinks, nightlife in SLO, canyon drives, beach drives, winery tour, you name it. Great, great people. Have done about 5 of these when we still lived in SoCal. I drove down to it from Vancouver, WA. 1831 miles from Fri morning to Sun night back home from the event. I'll post my pics later. This is an event not to be missed. I had posted it in the regional forums but I don't think anyone was able to make it or interested.

I've been going for 5 years now and it keeps getting bigger and better. Now it's time to start planning mods before next years!
