Im mexican, and i feel sorry about all the people who felt complained(angry) about the statements of Top Gear.

Yes, we are the n1 country in the world in order of fat people and yes the money in mexico it is so de-balanced.

But i think, we need to change that image that we given around the world, and not being such a cry babys, besides, Top Gear is always polemic, even joking between them and the england people.

BTW, now everyday we hear Top Gear on the radio and Mastretta, so the free publicity to the mexican tortilla car is very high.

The only thing that offends me is that the mastretta wasnt tested. =(

what is funnier is the back handed apology they gave, saying that their jokes are base on country specific stereotypes. What they really told Mexico is it is not their fault your country has these stereotypes. Only the Brits would get away with the joke as well as the back handed apology.

You're pretty obtuse there. It's not a backhanded apology because it wasn't meant as an apology. They were not being apologetic. They simply made another joke out of it.

I thought about starting this thread a few days ago when this was started but then again, although I did felt a little offended since being Mexican, I do realize that there's not much of a lie in what they say and again, this is Top Gear, they insult Germans every time they have a German car with them in some sort of way,... The only thing that I honestly believe is that they should at least have criticized the people or the country if they would've tested the car first,... I've seen them and they are actually not that bad at all, specially considering their market target. I did send Clarkson, May and Hammond a tweet saying that they went a bit too far,... however I'm not going to stop watching the show.
