How often would you guys say getting hit in the rear by laser typically happens as opposed to the front? Percentage wise. Front/Rear ratio from your experiences, knowledge etc. Reason I'm asking because I have the Bel Stir Plus and LI HP Dual for the front as I didn't want to draw attention with the LI's showing in back. Law enforcement has been cracking down on people in my neck of the woods and look for rear plate setups as they drive behind you. I just wanted to not draw attention so I didn't get any for the rear because there is no where I can install them without them being obvious on my M6.

In Miami this is rare, but that's because the highway is elevated and the ramps are coming from below so the police are normally on the highway shooting you from the front.

When I lived in Atlanta, shots from behind we're not uncommon. Police hide in the shadows of on ramps and shoot as you pass them.

Local tactics vary. Frontal measurement is more common though.

Yea, this is I-10 which takes you from florida to cali so that road is very important to everyone and it needs to be taken care of.

Once you get beyond Baytown I-10 is 75 most of the way to Beaumont. I don't get on the toll roads in Houston so I wasn't aware of the lameo 65 nonsense. We have 75, 80 and 85 on the ones in Austin and the North Dallas Tollway is a mix of 65 and 70. Most of the time when I come in to Houston on I-10 if it's not rush hour, the traffic is running 80. When I was coming in to get the car on Wednesday morning, the traffic was 75 and there was a Houston cop sitting in the V of an entrance ramp. He paid no attention as I zipped past at 78 in a 65. Who knows, maybe it's true that white cars get less tickets and now I am screwed.

I haven't been to NOLA since Katrina so I guess they upped the limit. That's good but I imagine it's still full of speed traps.

where did you get your car in Houston. I got mine in Austin. It was cheaper over there.

Momentum West on the Katy Fwy. I was going to midtown but never got there because Momentum was willing to deal. By the time I was ready to buy, there were no M5's in Austin so I used AutoTrader to find all the 2013's in a 200 mile radius. There were 6 at midtown and also some good used ones but none of the used ones had full leather and that is an option I deemed necessary.

I think the market has changed since the summer and early fall. It seems like they put too many cars in the market too fast which has resulted in some good deals right now.

Yea but those so-called good deals are letting our current values drop like hot cakes which sucks. They just made too many m5's and should have made it stand out from the normal 5 series.

Yes this is true but cars always depreciate. In addition, there aren't that many m5s in the general car population anyway. It's not like I see very many of them driving around. Usually a dealer has 2 out of maybe 200 new cars so it's maybe 1% of BMWs and then BMWs are a small percentage of the general car population. So it's still a very rare car.

Yep, I agree. Funny thing is even though, I know a couple guys here in houston have theirs, I only have seen one driving and that was on the freeway heading towards louisanna a few weeks back.
