New KKS Performance F10 M5 exhaust out

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hi guys, just wanted to show the new valve-controlled axle-back by KKS-Performance

I've got a button to control the valves autonomous.
Downpipes are the next thing to come these days :-)
We have not made WOT runs as the car is factory new and nit run-in.

The reving-noise was raised from 93db to 108db with open valves.
Closed valves mean stock noise levels.

Here's some more info:
it's a 3" axle-back, it doesn't make sense to change the piping from downpipes to rear axle as it is full 3" stock and has 2 very very small mufflers.
The biggest restriction are the downpipes with 4 (2 on each side) restrictive catalsysts.
I'm getting new SS downpipes with 2 (1 on each side) 200cpi metallic cats.
No engine light, a decent hp gain and more noise is promised :-)
KKS delibers a button or remote to control the exhaust .
The stock exhaust valves open/close at certain rpms or WOT so you can't control them the same way like the KKS exhaust.
That's the big difference between other bolt-on exhausts and this one.
The weight is same as stock as far as I can tell.

Very nice!! I know some folks don't like the F10 whitelines, but I love it on black.

Any exhaust clips?

Nice. Any clips or videos of the exhaust sound? Is there any power gain? What is the price? Thanks for any info.

Please let us know if they're still working after 10,000 miles. Most fail by then.

Do you mean the valves? They use Pierburg valves which are used by Porsche also. They should work.

It will be interesting to be hearing the stock noise being played on the speakers of the car and then hearing the actual noise of the exhaust from the cabin.

Sounds like a nice increase in decibels even at idle revving. Can't wait to hear it doing WOT runs.

Any weight savings over the factory exhaust system?

Excuse my ignorance, but which of the m5 settings opens the valves to get the more interesting noise?

I only have a small video.
With valves closed you can hear the stock-like "farting".

Not bad...

Those white-lines gotta go.
Exhaust fitment (rear) is no good, I hate when pipes stick out.
