Euro Delivery Deal - Any Gotchas?

Hey gang - would love additional sets of eyes from the community on the deal below and if there are any additional gotchas to be aware of for pricing European Delivery aside from my own travel cost and time to get there and back...

MSRP $103,250 ($102,250 plus $1,000 Gas Guzzler for ED)

Negotiated Price $88,690 or $300 over ED Invoice
Residual 61%
10K miles/year
MF .00160
7 MSD's

Monthly Payment $898.50, w/ WA State Sales Tax $986.56

Fairly basic build:
  • 2015 M5 Singapore Grey
  • Black Extended Merino
  • Executive Package
  • 343M's
http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...tionId=5722591

This will be a DD car. I've test driven the CP models and listened to the B&O SS - at this point, neither moved me enough to justify the additional cost. Not certain I need "Enhanced USB and BT" and why BM doesn't just throw that in on a $100K car.

Anything else I should be aware of or considering w/ my build?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a pretty good deal. Sorry I don't have much comment on additional options to consider.

Which dealer if you don't mind my asking?

I DD mine as well. I am glad I didn't get the CP personally. Would have been too harsh a ride for my preference on a DD. And the $3700 for B&O isn't worth it. I'm an audiophile and have more $$ in audio gear than the M5...BUT...the cost-to-benefit ratio didn't make sense to me. I don't do any critical listening in a car anyway. So for me that was easy to leave off.

BUT... I would tell you to DEFINITELY get the FULL LEATHER. Otherwise, it feels like a 528 inside. Not a $100k car. Just my opinion of course.

Also... I absolutely find a LOT of value in the Driver's Assist package. I'm on the road quite a bit going to client meetings, etc... the DA package was a big time help in alerting me of a stopped car in front of me that I missed for a split second.

So IMO... for a Daily Driver the Cost:Benefit ratio for the Full Leather and Driver's Assist was an easy choice to check those options in my build.

At this point, spending this kind of time and money, I'd hope you don't 'need' to shave cost to that degree.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the G2 Phil. I agree with you on the full leather as it's the one item my M3 does not have that makes it feel like a standard 3 series inside. I always kidded myself that with black interior it didn't really matter.. however, it does. Especially when stepping up to an M5/M6.

Now if I go Full Merino with Space Grey, do I stick with Black or SS or SO?

I like seeing how your M5 is progressing.. what color interior do you have w/ the Space Grey?

I went with Sahkir Orange. So, if you go with that combo, you'll have to present it as the 'PT3 Design'! Lol.

Silverstone is SHARP... But light colors are tough to keep clean. And I tend to prefer a darker color. But not as dark black.

Agreed! SS is too light especially w/ a nine year old that's part animal.

I saw in a thread where you were originally looking at Singapore at one point.. any regrets going with the Space Grey over Singapore? I don't have time to hand wash every time either.. brushless carwashes are a necessity.

No regrets at all. But had I gone with Singapore... I would have gotten the 601's or the polished 343's. I don't like the black wheels with the Singapore.

Do you receive the BMW incentives that are going during the month or order or those that are taking place during the month of delivery or redelivery?

Something I'll ask my CA on Thurs... asking in case you have experience.

Seanmag,

Could you also PM me the dealers name.

I'm stuck deciding between CCB's and executive package.

Anything down other than MSDs?
What was the non-ED MSRP?

Nothing additional down on my end to reduce the cap cost.

Additional cost - Acquisition Fee of $725 and Doc Fee of $80.

ED MSRP is... I need to confirm again

I'm going to inquire if there is a leather dash only option versus going Full Leather.

It's funny… I've sat in both… I am pretty indifferent to this option…

Thanks for the feedback. I probably sat in both extended and full with all the test drives between CP and non-CP and never took a mental note of the interiors.

I'm going to go sit in a full leather spec'd M5 today, decide and finalize my order.
