Long awaited firmware update for the 360 was recently released; the radar does a much better job with BSM falses but is less sensitive in regards to K Band detection. The workaround has been to run in Highway with TSR OFF.

My 360 does a good job with the Redlight cameras, have you updated the defender database? Waze does a much better job with this.

You may need to update the firmware ... just an FYI.

Thanks, just finished updating. Out of the box it was way noisier compared to 9500ix. Will see tomorrow if there is a measurable difference.

Highway and TSR off have been the consensus best settings.

Will flip from Auto to Highway tomorrow to try but would it not generate extra noise given the lack of X-band usage by local cops? Will disable TSR (or should I say enable filtering given the guidance on escort site).
General comment - I am a bit bummed by the wasted space on the left side of a display showing speed (inaccurate), would have been better used for the larger signal strength graph and number of signals details.

K band range is greatly reduced in Auto w/ the latest firmware release; x band noise should not be too bad and the detector does a good of learning so they will gradually become less; you can always lock them out manually as well.

Agree on the left side ...

No noise after the flip to highway and subjectively longer detection range to known targets as compared to 9500ix, thanks for the tip!

I updated the latest 360 software and placed it side by side to the 9500ix.....they both alert the same with indeed less K sensitivity in auto mode....it appears I hadn't updated the camera database properly for the speed camera alerts.....my last ticket cop radar'ed my car and 360 didn't alert and it was a laser gun as expected...but my laser jammer "Blinder" didnt catch it either...always had in the past

Love the GPS/arrow combo - lots of V1 fans but 360 tech is the next gen

Be careful when doing that. Running two detectors side by side will lead to interference to where you'll see reduced range, missed alerts, and false alerts. You need to run the detectors independently and then compare the results that way. I wish you could run two detectors at the same time like that and get valid results. It'd be so nice and so convenient.

Yeah there's some new laser guns coming out that are designed with anti-jamming technology to defeat laser jammers. It's for that reason that you'll want to get a modern laser jammer that's designed to handle modern guns. I used to run a Blinder as well, but it is pretty much dead at this point and hasn't been updated since 2014. This is good timing because I just put together a comparison review of the best laser jammers on the market so if it's time for you to upgrade (sounds like it is, based on the guns that are in use in your area), take a look through that.

Nice summary! time for me to change my laser jammers...this one looks great for an easy install "Escort ZW5 Wireless Shifters" but you need the new 360c detector....I confirmed with Escort that the ZR5 will be compatible with the older detectors like Max360 after the upcoming firmware update.....

Yeah the ZW5's do look cool. They're not as effective as ALP's, but the convenience is pretty fantastic.

and yeah, the 360c is already compatible with them. Some of the other newer detectors will be compatible too, but you'll have to buy a special power cable that has the communication stuff built into it instead.

I’ve tried passports and a few others, and the best overall combo I’ve found is this:

Valentine One
Laser Interceptor Quad Setup
Waze

I was getting too many false alerts on the Valentine so I switched to Escort MAX360 with arrows(blocks false alerts with GPS)....great...Blinder M27 laser jammer has worked consistently the past 10 years until recently...i think the cop gunned me on the side of the car where there are no sensors

Yeah that was a great setup, especially a couple years ago. One of the classics to go with.

I noticed that you drive in Baltimore. In MD and VA there are some newer laser guns in use that the LI can't jam. There are hardware limitations to the platform being able to jam the newest guns with more sophisticated anti-jamming technology and so software updates and even sales for the LI have basically ceased. LI's are no longer being sold as people are upgrading to more modern jammers. The LI is still an excellent jammer against older guns, but it is starting to show its age a bit at this point. Just something to be aware of.

It's possible. Those are pretty old jammers at this point too though, even older than the LI's. Do you have a photo of your install you could post? Perhaps a more optimal location for the jammer head placement could help prevent this from happening again.

9500ci , k40 , likewise

or

a max 360 windsheild mount and a stand alone laser jammer system?

also which in ea category would you do in your personal vehicle had today been the day you purchase ?

For laser, the AntiLaser Priority is the best laser jammer on the market. Read my AntiLaser Priority review for more info.

For a remote radar detector, the Net Radar and upcoming Radenso RC-M are both great choices.

The Escort Max Ci 360 is also a good option.

The 9500ci has been discontinued. It had great performance and autolockouts, but the BSM filtering sucked. BSM filtering is one of the improvements of the new Max Ci that replaces it. The latest gen 9500ci laser jammers (there were several versions throughout the years) were rebranded LI's which had the updating issues I talked about earlier. You're definitely better going for a modern system with improvements to both the radar and laser side.

K40 makes overpriced, underperforming equipment. They sell only through installers and have good marketing, but the performance and capability of the products just isn't there. Performance isn't good, jamming capability is dated, and it's missing key features like GPS lockouts.

Yeah I really like the windshield mount radar detectors. They're much more cost-effective and I don't mind having the RD on my windshield.

The Max360 and Uniden R3 are the best choices on the market right now. Personally I prefer the R3 and it's what I happily run daily. I've done a Max360 and R3 comparison too if you wanna check that out.

Max 360 + Waze .... This set up has worked flawlessly for me. I’ve followed the recommended settings from Vortex on the 360 after the latest firmware update and the BSM falsing is quite improved.

Woow thank you so much for the detail'd info !

so i googled and found the al priority laser setup (as i have a max 360) looks to be about $2150 w 2 fr heads and some tx head thingy as well w one rear reg sens. is that about what this shit should cost just for laser protect? i guess the best laser protect setup?

So i'd run the Max 360 in windsheild and the hardwired laser as 2 separate units for ult prtection?

thanks again for info !

So I've put together a whole guide for the ALP. Check out Page 2 which covers how many ALP heads to get for your vehicle.

Yes sir! You got it. They'll be two independent but complementary tools.

Hey guys, I just want to make this absolutely clear. The Net Radar is completely rubbish.

I have one and have all sorts of issues:

1) It alerts to lots of BSM systems from many car OEMs. The Escort CI360 has much better filtering.

2) It is unreliable. I have had instances where the front doesn't alert to KA at all and the rear picks it up before I pass the cop.

3) The manual lockout of false radar sources is very poor. I have locked out every false radar source on a 1 mile stretch of peachtree street. I have about 40 lockouts in place on this stretch and I still get false alerts. This did not happen when I had a Bel STIR+

4) It is highly dependent on pairing with a cellphone if you want any filtering at all. Otherwise it is like running a mid 2000s V1. It alerts to every automatic door opener in every strip mall. And the cellphone pairing has issues too. For instance sometimes you hear the first 2 seconds of a locked out alert because there is a lag in the bluetooth connection or in the cellphone's processing of the GPS. Also it often fails to auto connect to your phone so you can't just get in your car and drive. You have to get in, then get out your phone, make sure the bluetooth is connected to the radar, then start the app, and in some instances you have to manually connect within the app. I have this process automated via Llama and I still have to manually intervene 80% of the time.

Basically this Net Radar feels like an amateur beta release at best. The Escort CI360 is the way to go.

ALP is fine for laser, but don't bother with net Radar.

Here's an example of the shoddy filtering on the Net Radar. In this area I have locked out all the false K Band. Yet I get alerts like these every time I drive the roads in this area.

BTW If you point these videos out to the seller of this crap product, he always just blames the user.
