Good one!

With my car in Miami (Monte Carlo Blue) it's washed only by one of Miami's top detailers and while I let him drive it, it's only a few feet and I'm usually watching while on the phone. Plus he's not a random guy I don't know - he's been washing my cars for years. Don't let anyone else wash my car.

With my car in Atlanta (Frozen Grey) I only wash the car myself with a process which involves a foam gun and demineralized water! So no car wash guy driving this one.

Thats me.
NEVER had a valet issue with my car.

SO JUST BC i toss my key and ask him to keep it upfront i have no manners or respect?
Quite the judgement.

Its amazing how many of u guys treat this car like its a rare gem.
Its just a car.

I cant even imagine if some of you were to buy bugattis or paganis.
Youd prob never drive it or if so, only on sundays to get your weekly enema and diapers.

As I said before and I am the OP
Valet seemed to understand where I was coming from especially car was in break in that time like 1200 - or 1300 mark and can take a beating...

And proof he was ok and not offended!
He suggested leaving up front and keep my keys... Didn't suggest even me parking it myself elsewhere. ..

Let's be honest it can be your gem and it can be just another car...
Depends how rich you are -
I am not rich at all... I don't think stretching myself too thin to get it but definitely less saving -

I was reading another post and the guy has -
Seems to have an M5 in every city he works at!!
Hahahahah

Sat over on the other side of the pond, I find this thread funny. The concept of having someone to throw the keys at to park the car for you simply doesn't happen over here. We have to park our own cars....often, shudder the thought, some distance away from our final destination!

I have 5 cars, a boat, and a Harley. My issue with valets and dealer techs has absolutely nothing to do with seeing my M5 as a gem. All of my vehicles, and those of my kids, get first class care-by me. I have a diesel truck that I use to pull my boat and drive quite often. I have the same attitude with it as I do my M. I'm OCD beyond belief, and have rarely found other humans in the aforementioned roles to excercise my same care, though I am sure there are some, they would definitely be the exception. Regardless of my income, I will excercise this care, period. As for the comment about Bugattis and Paganis, they are a bit "foo-foo" for most of us in TX...kind of like shirts untucked and pointy Italian shoes...

Lolol @ foo foo.
I can def see that.
I agree with the ocd part

I guess my grip with it is that anything can happen. And if something is going to happen to my car, i see it as out of my control and in the hands of the universe.

In 2014 im trying to stop worrying sbout every little thing.
Trust me, im ocd too.

OH YEA, BTW, IM BROKE. NOT EVEN CLOSE TO RICH. haha

I voted yes. I used to never let anyone else drive my cars, in my younger years, but I realized later in life that A. it's just a car (and can be replaced, if necessary) and B. there's more to life than a nice car.

Of course
Sadly I agree
We should have a lot more to life than our M5 beasts or we are really not in tune with what life is all about.

Having said that - no valet will drive my car especially if in Break In Period -
Hahaha

On an analogous note, I'm currently at Dallas Love field-headed back to Houston. When I left the parking garage, I walked by an Aston Martin Vantage (beautiful) parked in an end spot, but with an idiot parked right next to him. In very close proximity, there was one of those "wheeled, multiple suitcase carts" that you rent when you have a bunch of crap at the airport. I grabbed the wheeled cart, and took it with me. Regardless, tonight I will have nightmares of that cart slamming into that car; I'm just that way... You can tell by my name on this forum what I do... We call this "managing risk in every situation"... My boy in the Aston is not...
